I bumped into Paul on the Ormeau Road in Belfast and got chatting to him as we walked along the street. An incredibly open fellow, I told him about the project and he began to tell me about himself. Originally from Wicklow, he was in and out of state institutions for most of his twenties until he no longer could face them and ran away. Suffering from bi-polar affective disorder, he uses medication but battles against manic depression on a daily basis. His mother before him also had spells in mental institutions and he feels that the awful experiences he had there will haunt him forever. Paul told me he is gonna leave Belfast and move to Brighton as it is a happier place. I asked him when was he leavin and he told me,
'Some day..I'm gonna leave someday.'

January 3, 2019-Quiet Contemplation. Throughout the holiday season, one of my favorite times are moments of quiet, solitude considering the year that has past and the new year to come. My life is always go go go with the many things on my plate, so quiet time to be thankful and reflect is always one of my favorite parts. With eye surgery again, I had over two weeks off and its been nice to slow down. I'm sure my photos will be a lot quicker when I get back to the grind on Saturday, but until then I'll spend some extra time.
This photo, I feel so rusty haha. I had to crop it closer than I wanted as the slider screen door was hideous lol

Great Egret 3 (Ardea alba) in Everglades National Park Florida, USA.
A tall, stately white wader of quiet waters. Common, especially in the south, it may wander far to the north in late summer. Nearly wiped out in the United States in the late 1800s, when its plumes were sought for use in fashion, the Great Egret made a comeback after early conservationists put a stop to the slaughter and protected its colonies; as a result, this bird became the symbol of the National Audubon Society.
