I wanted to recreate one of my previous shots, but hadn't had the right conditions until now. So here it is, with a slight twist. Different kind of leaf, and this time it's in water.

The esteemed fleet of step entry deckers at Scunthorpe-based independent 2 Way Transport has been culled in recent months as the result of a number of Spectras arriving from Wilts & Dorset. One of the handful which remain out and about is Citybus F109XCW which was caught on the quite splendid afternoon which unravelled today as it left Epworth with route 201 from South Axholme Academy to Owston Ferry. New to Burnley & Pendle in March 1989 and later operating for Roadcar, this was one of two members of this batch on South Axholme work this afternoon.

I've been trying to eat a lot of in-season fruits and vegetables this year, which has been fun cause I've tried some things I might not have (brussel sprouts! parsnips!) Mangoes are in for March, so I made a mango raspberry crisp for breakfast this morning. Delicious!

Check out some other things that are making me happy.

My name is Pieter Cross. Orphan, doctors assistant, superhero. They call me Black Midnight. Not the best name, but it certainly does the trick! Let me just tell how I exactly became the partner of Charles McNider, aka Doctor Mid-Nite. Still can't believe it... Nonetheless, let me explain. My parents were some great people, at least that's what I thought. My father was a doctor and my mother was a nurse at a hospital located in Monument Point. I was simply working as an intern at that hospital, because they were able to arrange that since they were in fact respected at that hospital. Nothing was as it seemed though. Secretly they were working for the Maroni Crime Family. They and some other staff members took drugs from the hospital and sold it on the street for the Maroni's. One night at our home however, members of the 100 entered the house and brutally murdered my parents on behalf of Tobias Whale, who wanted the Maroni's out of Monument Point to claim it for himself. If it wasn't for Charles, I would've died. In the scuffle I was shot through the head however. I thought I would be done for, but Charles actually did brain surgery, BRAIN SURGERY, on me. I still can't believe it. An old, blind man, with limited resources, was able to save me from a gunshot to the head. He wasn't able to save my sight however, that part of the brain was just destroyed. I thought my life would be over. My parents were part of a crime family, I was blind for the rest of my life without any chance of completing my medical study, and I was orphaned. You could say that that night was the worst of my life. Charles however, saved me again. He took me in, he trained me to actually see, using the things around me and my other senses. I didn't need my eyes to see. At one point I decided to just make a superhero costume, well after a few tries. Charles wasn't surprised at all and he actually agreed on taking me with him! He was getting older, and eventually a replacement would be needed to become the new Doctor Mid-Nite. I've been running around for 3 years as Black Midnight now, but I never really met any of the other children of the JSA members. I met Hourboy once, didn't go as planned. It's obvious that we don't like each other, but well, it's fine. Can't like everybody. I also met Jesse Quick once. She is much nicer than Rick, not that hard by the way. Currently Charles and I are on a stakeout with Hooty, who is basically our eyes for long distances.

Pieter: "It's a quiet night, Doc."

Charles: "Sometimes you should enjoy quiet nights, Pieter."

Pieter: "I know, but it has been quiet for a week now. Where is all the violence?"

Charles: "You want violence?"

Pieter: "That's not what I meant."

Charles: "I know."

Pieter: "So you got jokes?"

Charles: "All I want to say Pieter, is that you shouldn't take these quiet nights for granted. Not every hero has that luxury."

Pieter: "Heard it was quiet in Gotham too."

Charles: "Could you stop? Just enjoy a quiet night."

As Pieter wants to say something back, Charles' JSA comlink turns on. He takes the call and he hears Jay Garrick, delivering the news about Henry.

Charles: "Are- are you serious? That's terrible. Yes, yes of course. I'll meet Power Girl and Mister Terrific there. A.R.G.U.S. too? Understandable, the man lost his father. I'll go there now and come back with Terrific, Power Girl and the body for closer examination. Doctor Mid-Nite out."

Charles sits down for a moment and takes heavy breaths. Pieter sits next to him and calms him down a bit.

Pieter: "Doc? Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Charles: "I'm fine Pieter. I just got a call from the Flash. Commander Steel is dead. Murdered."

Pieter: "Oh my- really?"

Charles: "Yes..."

Pieter: "Do you want me to come with you?"

Charles: "No, it's okay. I'll meet with Power Girl, Mister Terrific and some A.R.G.U.S. agents there. It will be all the help I need. You can go home."

Pieter: "Okay... If you need help, just call."

Charles: "I know, son. I should be going."

Pieter: "Good luck..."

Focal lengths indicated on the lens do not give the same angle of view as for full-frame cameras. 30mm on the Pen is roughly equivalent to 45mm on a full-frame lens.

Launched in 1962, the Olympus Pen EES was the world's first camera with a programmable EE shutter. The shutter speed changed automatically according to light level, thus increasing the appropriate exposure range.

The original Pen was introduced in 1959. It was designed by Yoshihisa Maitani, and was the first half-frame camera produced in Japan. It was one of the smallest cameras to use 35mm film in regular 135 cassettes. It was thought to be as portable as a pen, thus the name. The idea was to be much copied by other Japanese makers.

1. My name is Frederick von Wafflederp.

2. I am 15.

3. I have 2 YouTube channels. Animation: www.youtube.com/user/bobaytionpro

and customs: www.youtube.com/user/MRMINIFIGMAN

4: I like both DC and Marvel, but DC waaaaaay more.

5. The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix S3100. It's not good for animation but it gets the job done for my Flickr things.

6. My favorite DC characters are Barry Allen Flash and John Stewart GL.

7. My favorite Marvel characters are Wolverine and Spiderman. (villain Green Goblin)

8. I play soccer, and I am a goalie. My coach says to play goalie in high school you have to be insane. I guess I'm insane then.

9. Even though I play soccer I don't care for any pro soccer team.

10. I lied on #3. I actually have a shared YT account with my cousin Trevor: www.youtube.com/user/stupidpeople60 I wouldn't watch the vids on there cuz we made them over 2 years ago and we were annoying.

11. I am thinking about bringing that channel back with some sort of video type. (I'm not telling you guys now.)

12. Pinkman is my favorite OC that I have made even though I don't make anything for him.

13. I'm tired.

14. My favorite Lego animator is Filmyguy or DragonBitStudios. (Dragon is a channel that is just a bit more popular then my animation channel so go check him out: www.youtube.com/user/DragonBitStudios )

15. I have reached 200 subs on my MRMINIFIGMAN channel so I will be doing a vid on there soon where I show all of my custom figs.

16. My favorite movie is a toss up between TDKR and Hobbit: An unexpected Journey.

17. I have not seen the new Hobbit movie but I really want to.

18. I'm done.

Neo-Classic Space vic viper #2. Technically this is not 100% NCS due to the lack of a trans-yellow windscreen, but that is a part that is missing from our stock of bricks. I tried to at least reference it with the 1x1's on top of the canopy.

A very big thank you to my friend Darlene who passed this old family camera on to me and into my care knowing that I would certainly revive and use it. She tells me she remembers taking snaps with it and still has many pictures taken with it.

Noticed something about myself after rolling the film onto the spool, in my dark bathroom... I had my eyes tightly closed during the whole process and only opened them when the film was secure in the tank and I opened the door. Wonder if this common with the folk who develop at home? Never thought about it all these years until that realization. hmmm :-)

were these two bricks contrary or were they simply framed?

There was perfect lighting in my living room when I came home from work, but by the time I had gotten my camera and everything set up it was gone. But I guess I have all year to catch it at the right time, yeah?

So I just did this instead, and I really love it, especially because it was a spur of the moment idea. And then the title came into my head and I don't know if it really fits but it wouldn't leave my mind.

Also it was unbelievably difficult to balance on that stool thing because it's designed to rock back and forth.
