Two out of the Four remaining searchlights in the Twin Ports sit in South Superior on a hidden connection between the CP's yard and the BNSF's mainline.
Here, UP 7482 leads CP 250 south through town before heading to the Twin Cities.
An hour out on the coast a couple of weeks ago provided me with some lovely Common Blue Butterflies to photograph.

Back to the Sotavento 2022 travelogue. Shot at Fuezta (A) station. The conductor was wearing a facemask (in Portugal wairing face masks in public transportation was still mandatory).
A DMU (UDD in CP parlance) of the 450 series getting ready for departure at Fuzeta-Moncaropacho station. This series started its life as the 400 series, built in 1981 by the Portuguese Sorefame (Sociedades Reunidas de Fabricações Metálicas) company in licence of the Budd Company of Philadelphia USA. After a renovation in 1999, they became the current 450 series and are the mainstay of CP's VRSA-Lagos service. They’re equipped with two nicely roaring 14 Litre, 6-cylinder Cummins NTA 855 - R3 engines (Total output: 2 x350 kW).
This is number 28 of Linha do Algarve and 21 of the Fuzeta album.

Die Antonow An-2 ist mit über 18 m Spannweite der größte im Einsatz befindliche einmotorige Doppeldecker der Welt. Die An-2 wurde nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in der UdSSR entwickelt und wird in großer Stückzahl sowohl für zivile als auch für militärische Zwecke genutzt.

The Antonov An-2 is a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplane utility/agricultural aircraft. The An-2 was produced up to 2001 and remains in service with military and civilian operators around the world.
What a difference 2 weeks can make, from snow and Siberian temperatures to crocuses and bees in the garden!
It was beautifully Springy here in the East this weekend, I'm sure we will have another few cold snaps before true Spring starts but this is enough for now....
We gained 3 minutes and 55 seconds of daylight today- I love this time of year :)
