Also taken early in the morning at Glimmen nearby Groningen, The Netherlands. It is a favorite place to be when the sun is still coming up.

the last few month I worked on a series of landscapes with glamourise, intense colors. To achieve that special look, I used an old darkroom technique - no Photoshop - filter - monkey business.

i pulled over to make a photo....

it was not until i stepped out of the car looking up....

as i lifted my camera to my eye....

that i saw these two hearts in the sky ≈ ≈ ≈

This is the second in an ongoing series shot from a storm water outlet on the beach at Marine Parade, Napier

 

This shot features a clear horizon with the nearly new moon rising with Venus above and to it's left. Mars and Jupiter are also faintly visible below the moon.

i forgot my 2 years anniversary on flickr on May 30th:) hurray for that:)

celebrating this with a new vertorama from the midnightsun solar eclipse last wednesday:)

and yes i know about the horizon distortion but i kinda like the bend there, and i leave it like this:)

This, more dramatic, but way noisier and too sharp (in my opinion), is from Nik's Silver Effects, and results from using one of the filters they have.
