Billboard on Richards Street.

a giant snow wall & tunnel built up for the Taste of Vail mountaintop picnic (taken a day or two after the event on our hike out to west vail trees). so big it's hard to fit in a photo, should have taken one from far away to see how huge it is. Makes a perfect barrier from the elements at 11,000 ft!

I've never been to the mountaintop picnic because it's always the same time as the film fest, but i'd like to!

Almost the same set-up as the last pic, but had to add an extra light to define the left leg (right in the image). Ended up having to use 5 lights for this, jeez!

The set-up for this was;

2 speedlights left/right, flagged with cardboard to produce the rim lighting.

Octagon softbox to provide fill on the face

A small speedlight to light up the wooden chest

Another small speedlight to provide rim light on the left leg.
