Stayed home from work today due to the crummies trying to take hold. It's that time of year when kids are back and school and the bugs start being passed around at work. Instead of letting it go full blown, I decided to just take a day to sleep and see if I could beat it to the punch.
I finally crawled out of bed at about 3:00 and decided to go check out the wild flowers along the canal. Figured the fresh air would do me good. It was a stunning day temperature wise and the sky was nice and clear. Figured I should get a shot of these babies before the cold weather wipes them out.
Amtrak train 281 pulls into Utica as it passes the MA&N and Adirondack Railway yards.
Note the ADIX Alcos (1835, an RS18u; 9411, an S1; and NYC 8255, an RS3) to the left of the locomotives. Just above the last coach, ex-Roberval & Saguenay M420TR 27 can be seen in the MA&N backshop.
