I was in a weird mood today and had no idea what to do for a photo, so this is the result of me just dicking around in Photoshop for a few hours.

Also, my girlfriend and I finished playing Watch Dogs today. Anyone else played it?

NGC 281 is also called the Pacman Nebula. It is an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is about 9.500 ly away from earth and has an extention of about 48 ly.

Day 1 of 90 days without alcohol (AKA BEER): Thats the kind of talk that would normally go in one ear and out the other. But since it is for health reasons I am gonna do what my doctor says.

Just another example of why I should leave the manipulations to the experts!

Random Fact: I don't like Kokanee so I thought it would be good if I bought it for this shot so I would be less tempted to drink it ;-) And there is something about the name that seems to fit in well with my 366...heh.

PacMan Nebula

NGC 281 is a big ol' cloud of gas and dust out in space. It's also known as the "Pacman Nebula" because of its resemblance to the classic video game character. It's located in the constellation Cassiopeia, about 9,500 light-years away from Earth.

The nebula is made up of hot, ionized gas that's being energized by young, massive stars at its core. These stars are so bright and energetic that they're actually blasting away the gas and dust around them, creating a hollowed-out cavity in the middle of the nebula. The whole thing is about 80 light-years across, so it's pretty massive!

If you were floating out in space near NGC 281, you'd see a glowing, swirling cloud of gas and dust, with bright pockets of light where the most massive stars are located. It's a pretty cool sight, and definitely worth checking out if you ever get the chance (although I wouldn't recommend trying to visit it in person - space is dangerous!).

Just before the eruption of Geysir

i've lost so many people i loved in my life so far (and im only 15) that i find it really hard to let people get close enough to my heart, only a few get there. but then last year a friend that was close broke it and now they have made it so much harder for me now. so i wish it never happened. I wish that everyone was still here. I wish that i can trust more people, but i can't.
