Another of the former Stockton and latterly Newcastle-based ADL Enviro 300s to have transferred to Sunderland in recent months, is 27239 (SN65OBZ), which is seen here on Bedford Street, Sunderland, on the 22nd November 2025, whilst working service 23 to Thorney Close.

I shot the Handy Dandy railroad at the 47th Annual Southeast Old Threshers’ Reunion on July 5, 2019.

This Locomotive was built in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1942. It is an 0-4-0 switch engine built by Porter Locomotive Company. The Locomotive was located at Bethlehem Fairfield (Maryland) Shipyard; The United States Navy Shipyard in Norfolk, Virginia; PC Company #9 Old Dominion Iron and Steel Company, Richmond, Virginia and Echo Valley Park, and Swamp Rabbit Railroad in Greenville, South Carolina.

It was down with mechanical issues the day I was up, but ramm the next day.

Stagecoach North East ADL Enviro300 SN65 OBZ (Fleet Number 27239) is pictured heading along Market Street in Newcastle city centre while working a service on route 11 towards West Denton Shops via West Road & Pooley Road.

This vehicle wears the 2020 Stagecoach Local livery and is one of many similar vehicles in the fleet. Not really too much else to say about it as its quite a typical Stagecoach vehicle, although there is a slightly discoloured panel visible near the rear wheel.

Harvard Square in 1970.

The Brattle Theater played foreign and classic films -- there weren't a lot of indie films back then -- and was renowned for its "orgies" of Bogart films during final-exam times at Harvard.

You entered and exited through these barn-like doors, which opened directly onto Brattle Street. When a movie ended, they'd put two or three employees in the doorway to make sure that nobody snuck in through the emerging crowd.

The theater is still there, and still in the same barn-like structure. But it's only about half its former size, this end of the building now housing shops and boutiques. When I took this picture, there was only one shop -- Truc -- and it was down in the basement with a coffee house (the Blue Parrot) and a small restaurant (the Casablanca).

Truc -- French for miscellaneous junk -- originally sold stuff like soaps, aromatic candles (relatively rare back then), and posters but then found that bell-bottom jeans were more profitable, so it became more of a clothing store.

For more about the era, see The Boston Tea Party 40th Aniversary Celebration or Harvard Square: Ground zero for so much, for so many.

Before you decide to purchase however, you should know that I intend to mass produce these Kigurumi in the future and depending on my unit cost, I could end up pricing a lot lower than what Murasaki.me is charging due to the large quantity that I would order from a vendor.

Mass producing a product takes a long time to ramp up however so my Kigurumi could take anything from 4 months to a year due to the time needed to train vendors to work with our quality standards.

If however you want your Kigurumi now then I think its worth paying the extra for the made to order quality. Get yours now!

Murasaki.me will be taking a limited amount of orders for the Tora Kigurumi on her website and ill cost 300 USD each.

They are a wee bit pricy but me reckons they are worth it as they are all made to order meaning that you can be sure that each one will be made with quality in mind. The Kigurimi that she sells will also come with this Tora T-shirt too.

Premier Jason Kenney and Government House Leader Jason Nixon discussed highlights, in Edmonton on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, of the spring session that included passing historic legislation to ensure Alberta emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic stronger and on the right track towards economic recovery.

Alberta’s government has wrapped up a marathon session that saw 34 bills passed to make life better, diversify our economy and get Albertans back to work.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the unprecedented economic collapse faced this year disrupted the normal legislative session, but Alberta’s government was still able to deliver on 93 more platform commitments while taking concrete measures to save lives and livelihoods. This means Alberta’s government has already kept or is well underway on 255 of 375 promises to Albertans. That’s 68 per cent of platform commitments made despite being only 31 per cent of the way through the four-year mandate.

“This year has been unlike anything our province has seen in more than a century. That’s why I’m so proud that when politicians across the country were at home, Alberta’s government was at work, delivering for Albertans. As Albertans work together to stop the spread of COVID-19, our government is working to get our economy back on track with Alberta’s Recovery Plan.” said Premier Kenney.

“The legislation passed this spring will help create jobs and get Albertans back to work. I’m also especially proud of the work we’ve done to protect our most vulnerable, including victims of human trafficking, sexual assault and other victims of crime.” said Jason Nixon, Government House Leader.

During the spring sitting, Alberta’s government passed 34 bills, keeping platform promises while taking action to protect the health and well-being of Albertans in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. To confront the unprecedented economic challenges and stimulate economic growth in the province, the government also took action by introducing the largest-ever infrastructure program in Alberta’s history as part of Alberta’s Recovery Plan.

Alberta’s MLAs returned to the chamber earlier than any other sitting jurisdiction in Canada to do their jobs and make life better for Albertans. (photography by Chris Schwarz/Government of Alberta)
