The grey Eucalypt leaf with cooling raindrops on a misty, mizzly, winters day in the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Park, Chelsea Australian Garden. HCT and keep cool everyone in the Northern Hemisphere :)) We definitely are cool down here in wintry Melbourne. These leaves are probably a juvenile form as the tree is quite small.
Also for Definitely Dreaming week 27 theme of Starting with M. I have always found plants to be amazing and inspiring in their form, function, beauty and variety. This variety of Eucalyptus is a Mountain Gum dripping with moisture!
My first go on this was okiesh but I like this verison better :)

They're taking my breath away
Went on a road trip over the weekend to Ocean Shores, WA. Hung out with some very cool people and even put on a little long exposure steel wool session. Most of them had never seen it done so it was cool to teach them something new and I even got some of them to take the wool for a spin ;)
It was a great little get away, lots of sun, surf, bonfires, beer and laughs.

The Southern U class loco No 31806 approaches Bridge 27 on the Churnet Valley Railway. The area either side of the bridge had been cleared of trees and undergrowth shortly before this photo charter and all the logs were stacked either side of the line ready to be picked up. I seem to remember reading an article somewhere saying that all of the track has been lifted, removed and sold for scrap' as this section of the line was not used for public services and only really used for storage of carrages and wagons etc. So it seems this stretch of line is no longer in use for the time being, which is a great shame as some of the best photographic locations on the line are between here and Froghall station.
