Half her face isn't painted because we still have a long way to go when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. There is still an incredibly high rate of hate crimes, suicides, and homeless youths within the LGBTQ+ community. They still have to worry about discrimination in the workplace, housing, and whether they will be granted public services. There is still an overall lack of acceptance and respect among the general population when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community, such as disregarding preferred pronouns and rejection by loved ones.
Today was a great win for love and equality, but let's not ignore all the progress that has yet to be made.

I'm posting this a little early, as Sibley & I are off early tomorrow on our adventure & her visit home, to Alberta. Not the way we'd originally planned, but it will still be a grand journey & reunion & visit with Liz & Andy, as well as hiking for Dwight & me in national parks!
The original plan for today was to watch the sunset on top of the Clent hills and take some pictures of it. But then it clouded over and it was warm but not nice enough to take photos really. Which is a shame really as now I won't have chance to take a sunset photo before the project ends. So this was taken when walking Holly's dog in nearby fields, working on the idea that I had the other day. This is much better than what I was originally taking a couple of days ago, so I'm pleased with the result.
Jasper does most things in life with enthusiasm and energy. Entering the family room is no different. This is Studio 26 group assignment 6 - flash photography. Yikes! I have a Canon Speedlight 580EX II that I get out about once a year when we open Christmas gifts. Figured I'd give it a whirl with action shots. Flash was pointed almost straight up bouncing off the ceiling. I used manual settings at f/5.6 and 1/250 sec. -2/3 EV exposure compensation on the flash because his whites were getting blown out.
Thank God I returned with my wife because of my burrada I almost lost it once more this time I swore that I valued her for one she is my soul mate and another that she deserves .. hugs to all ..

I enjoyed doing a variety of these exercises. Chose this as my final image because it seems closest to the brief of taking time to notice subject matter close at hand, so familiar that it usually goes unseen.
It's from #8 in the assignment list -- Put a wide angle or zoom lens by your bed at night. When you wake in the morning, shoot at least 5 photos from a prone position, & at least 5 more while sitting on the edge of the bed. An additional 10 between your bed & the bathroom. Don’t worry about composition, but shoot the things that catch your eye.
