Pepper at the back of the yard in heavier snow than his early foray. He was interested in the birds - not that he got any - and the moment I called to indicate I'd be closing the sliding door, he galloped into the house at full speed.
(Happy Caturday theme 1/4/2020: "Retrospective" (of 2019 photos). I like this because it shows that Pepper can at times have the explorer spirit. Also because he is very attractive in the falling snow, which we have very infrequently here, only a few days a year (and in many cases, not sticking for long. I'm slightly surprised this wasn't on Happy Caturday earlier, but the theme for that week's happy Caturday was long-time favorite photos. I do see that a different photo taken in same shoot as this one did get into a "Cool Cats" theme in July..)

Tenacious has arrived at Sharpness and is waiting to go into dry dock ....
Launched in 2000, the sailing vessel Tenacious is the largest wooden tall ship built in the United Kingdom in the last 100 years. It is 65 metres (213.25 feet) long including bowsprit, and it is rigged as a three-masted barque with two mizzen gaffs.
The ship was built by the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) and, along with STS Lord Nelson, the pair are the only tall ships in the world that were built so that both disabled and non-disabled people can sail as crew, not passengers. Features that cannot be found on other ships include wheelchair lifts throughout, unique ascender systems that allow wheelchair users to go aloft (either assisted or by their own efforts), a speaking compass for those with visual impairments, hearing loops, adjustable furniture for those with mobility difficulties, and a joystick to help individuals with dexterity limitations to steer the ship. Everyone plays a full and active role in the voyage. The JST are a UN accredited charity offering sailing adventures to people of all abilities and backgrounds.
