Apollo 9 Hasselblad image from film magazine 24/F - Earth orbit

Tag 13 bei 24 Tage im Dezember

Octan 24 was part of a small fleet of spacecraft operated in orbit around the remote planet of Bala VII. The planet was famous for its sheep farms, which expanded to cover its entire surface. Unfortunately the gaseous emissions from the sheep became the cause of accelerated global warming. Luckily, the Planetary Government realised that this problem could become a commercial bonus. They started to harvest and export the methane to other planets across the galaxy. Octan 24 was typical of the ships used to transfer gas from the orbital storage tanks to deep-space tankers.

Llwyngwril Space Systems were the obvious choice to design the spaceships. Sadly, the propulsion system was designed by a chap on secondment from the notorious Vehicle Design Department. Octan 24 had powerful main engines and rolling thrusters but no engines pointing forwards to enable it to slow or halt. Stopping was achieved by throttling down one main engine to spin the ship 180 degrees and then applying full power on both engines. This space-borne handbrake turn often resulted in cups of tea being spilt in the cockpit.

I couldn't resist this shot of the sunrise this morning because you can't normally see it in this direction. Today it was a 360 degree affair.

Week 24 - 16-23 June

Took this and did a bit of composite work for the hell of it. Again I'm about a few days late from the week's post... but it's been busy. More next week.

OMG! Look at our little Bei Bei high up on the rock wall all by himself!

Diana 151, Kodak Tri-X, expired 1987. Developed in Caffenol, 17 minutes. Photographed with a #25 red filter (glued a 43-52mm step-up ring to the lens; works like a charm).

I am working on creating in-camera "ptychs." I don't just want to shoot three sequential exposures, necessarily. I kinda' want a bit of continuity, but with a sense of each image being distinct. Like I don't want the eye to go Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, etc. I want the eye to go, Image 1, 2, 3, etc.

This was my test roll, and was shot over the course of a month. I must confess that along the way I lost track of where I left off, and changed up my process several times 'cause I forgot that too. Maybe a little note book would help next time... : )

This shot was taken after midnight, close to the summer solstice northern Sweden. This photo has had no post processing done to it.

Day 24 of 365.

Little late...

but..

I got to start a bucket list and cut a few items off of it. That sounds like a pretty rad day to me.

2003 Thomas Freightliner FS65 at the Cardinal Bus Garage in Middlefield, Ohio. Bus is awaiting summer maintenance and inspection. Bus will be remaining for this round of new buses coming in this January. It is unclear for how much longer the district will be allowed to keep it, however.

At first, I thought I wasn't really gonna get anything decent for today. I spent most of the evening working on a project and other work I had to make up. I squirmed to my front yard at around 10 to see if I could get a quick shot but I didn't get anyhting. Then I thought I could just take a photograph of one of my paintings and use that. Then (once again), I went to my room and decided I was going to do another shot with the light to go along with the little series with the light, and I got this. Since I am posting this now, I will just post the rest of the series some time tomorrow.

Oh, I used a tripod made out of pillows for this since I couldn't find my actual tripod.
