We’ve had a horrid few days of calima and borrasca mixed, and more wild weather appears to be on the way but, for the moment, perfect normality returns.
Op zaterdag 17 december pendelde VSM 23 076 samen met SSN 23 023 als Christmas express tussen Arnhem en Ede-Wageningen.
Op de foto de doorkomst van 23 076 in Wolfheze waar de sneeuw en het stationsgebouw maken het plaatje compleet maken.
Back in Sept 2015 I had the unique opportunity along with a co-worker to do a river float on the Atnarko/Bella Coola River during the end of the salmon run; with the hopes of seeing some Grizzly bears feeding on the salmon.
Upon first arriving at the launch site - we saw this big ole boy on the far bank, a bit upstream,. He is known as Bent-ear - as he is missing a good chunk of his left ear.
Though he did not catch any salmon while we watched he did give us many good photo opportunities despite being somewhat back lit in the late day sun.

May 13, 2018. Katowice. Poland. The historical electric locomotive series EP05-23 after repair and reconstruction (it has been out of order for several years) hauling passenger train InterCity Górnik from Warsaw to Gliwice. That photo has been taken on the border of Sosnowiec and Katowice. That locomotive is sometimes uses to hauling scheduled trains like that.
Another one of the Bessa Skopar images taken with Bergger Pancro 400, developed by 2 bath Thornton technique.
This is a technical test: experimenting with Bergger Pancro 400, developed in the Thornton 2-Bath developer to see if it's a suitable combination.
Bath A; 13 minutes
Bath B: 5 minutes.
The Bath A went much longer than typical because Pancro 400 requires significantly longer development times than most other films. This 13 + 5 time gave me very good overall density, but a bit excessive contrast, with the brightest values going a bit too far, I think. Next time I would drop the Bath A time to 10 minutes.
In all, a good experiment and reasonable results.
This was using the pre-WW2 Voigtlanger Bessa: 1/2 second at f16 with a medium yellow filter. Apertures larger than f11 deliver rather poor results with this f3.5 Skopar, unless you like the "toy camera" look in your work.
