Persimmon (cake, flavour): carrot (cake), red curry ("raisin"), spice aroma strip (clear)

The persimmon carrot cake topped with crumble. The amber orb is an explosion of pure ginger. The blood orange "raisin" is red curry. The upper right is the clear sliver of brown spice flavours. Like one of those Listerine strips. Eat that first and then the rest.

On the down relief, 67024 at the rear of 67029 approaches Roade on the WCML at about 14.30 on the 23rd January 2008 working 1Z90, the 13.27 Euston to Liverpool LSt 'footex', carrying Chelsea supporters for, my notes say, the semi final 2nd leg of the Carling Cup against Everton.

My hopes of a shot of 67029 were dashed by a southbound Pendolino!

The 'stealth' loco! Dedicated Belmond loco 216 finally worked a Mark 4 service on Sunday 22 January (1220 Cork - Heuston, 1900 Heuston - Cork). This was my last operational 201 required for haulage, and any attempts to get it on a passenger working post Belmond was deathly quiet. However, the current loco shortage required it to be used.

The loco is seen pushing the 1620 Cork - Heuston at Portlaoise
