VIA 22 for Quebec City has VIA 6451 leading 3 stainless steel cars as it passes Montreal's skyline. In the foreground is the mostly empty Peel Basin, as the Lachine Canal and the Peel Basin are partially drained every fall.
Engine change at Washington Union Station, as Siemens ACS-64 632 backs down to Amtrak number 20 the "Crescent", to replace the diesels that have brought the train from New Orleans to DC, October 20, 2022.
June brought some happy new changes, in life and in the weather. And for that I am thankful.

As light fades on this Thursday Aug 22,2019 afternoon . We see Inter County Railway ( ICR ) workers Henry Gomez and Jose Hack finishing up setting a 1971 Airstream that will be used office/break room for the Maintenance area that will be built in the near future as ICR moves locations in the coming months

Today..went a long way to pictures for my 365. Thought of having many snaps...but realized..i m running out of outdoor framing sense....a bit tensed about that...but i have to get it back at any cost...and the above picture was a tough one to get..as i am running blank headed..

I’ve had to cheat today, I had no energy or anything to edit or do a shoot yesterday because of work so I didn’t upload. Today I have to work on a few things and I start work soon till heaps late so no time to shoot again. To make up for it 22 and 23 are photos taken last week, edited this morning….

LA ALCOBILLA
Tres vírgenes acuden a honrar a Ntra. Sra. de la Alcobilla, en Rábano de Sanabria, el 8 de septiembre la Virgen de la Peregrina, de Barrio de Rábano, la Virgen del Rosario, de Rábano de Sanabria, y la Virgen de la Asunción, de la localidad de S. Justo. Cada vírgen parte de su pueblo acompañada de vecinos, gaitas y tambores, y precedida por el pendón de cada localidad. Las tres llegan al santuario de la Virgen de la Alcobilla, que se suma a la marcha, para después presidir un acto religioso. La jornada festiva continúa en el paraje de la Alcobilla con una comida campestre donde el protagonismo es el pulpo a la sanabresa. Esta celebración popular es un nuevo ejemplo de la tradición de origen remoto reconvertida al cristianismo: el origen primitivo del santuario remite a la adoración de dioses paganos, como atestiguan los restos arqueológicos descubiertos bajo su suelo. Mucho de ello podrían contar los castaños milenarios, de proporciones ciclópeas, que rodean el paisaje.
