Both fellows are armed with obsolete Infanterie-Gewehr 71 rifles, the first model in a distinguished line designed and manufactured by Paul Mauser and Wilhelm Mauser.

VIA 6434 pushes VIA 22 over the Lachine Canal in Montreal. After arriving from Ottawa, it is now backing out to head to Quebec City.
In the aftermath of the failed rescue of hostages from Iran in 1979, the US military realized the need for an aircraft that could get in and get out with the speed of an airplane, but land anywhere a helicopter could. And thus the tilt-rotor development program began. Starting with the Bell XV-15 and ending with the eventual V-22 Osprey, here the latter is shown in its early 2000's prototype testing paint scheme.
Day 22.
Today I dressed up as a History Boy. And got a lollipop from a barista at World Coffee because she made me a wrong drink twice. Mmm coffee. Mmm lollipop. Now I'm going to do some history homework for a little presentation I've got coming up tomorrow (really!).
Apart from a minor crop to place the sun in the centre of the photo and a slight tweak on the brightness, this was straight out of the camera around lunchtime today.

A pretty amazing place to wake up on a Sunday morning. Or any morning for that matter. Last week was stuffed to the seams with work, followed by a weekend stuffed to the seams on the coast of Maine with family, food, celebration, stunning blue skies , the tiniest bit of sunburn and the purchase of a dramatic summer hat, which I intend to use until it's well worn out with sand and sun and salt water.

I was taking a photo of the hotel, when this young woman appeared holding balloons, she then let them go and they flew away ... Hope she made a wish and that it comes true ...

Wanted to get Banjo into the picture this week. I hate my backyard. Its so bare. No plants, just fence as a background. I have no idea what to do each week and I just do a boring portrait. Bleh.
About 1.5 hours after this photo was taken both of the dogs went missing. We've driven around the whole suburb and still havent found them. Please keep your fingers crossed! :(
They are back safe and sound :)
