Snapped with a Lomo PO-109-1A 50mm f1.2 Projector lens. Testing the lens's focus and sharpness on a fire extinguisher near the office.
It was a nice day until about 4pm or something. Just glad to be back at home and warm! I cropped this pic which is something I don't do often.

hey guys, remember me, i swear i'm not dead. there's been so much going on and i have a lot of photos to edit and upload and i've just been crazy busy but i promise to become a actual member of flickr again because i miss you guys way too much.

After a heavy night last night I had a bit of a headache (!) so went to visit the cows to clear away the cobwebs.
A recent initiative by the Knockadoon Enhancement Project and the 15 good people of the local community behind it was to erect an EIRE 21 sign near the Signal Tower. (The work of the KEP in recent years has been astounding - they have put the Knockadoon Cliff Walk on the map big time.)
During World War II - or "The Emergency" as it was called in Ireland - "EIRE" signs were constructed in large lettering near Look Out Posts (LOPs) in order to tell aircraft that they were over Ireland.
The number of each LOP was also included and the Knockadoon LOP was 21.
The number was important as it served as a navigational aid for Allied pilots (all LOP numbers had been given to the Allies) as they would then know exactly where they were. (Yes, Ireland was neutral in the war but, as someone once put it, "we were neutral in favour of the Allies".)
The Knockadoon LOP is the little hut just to the right of the Signal Tower in the photo. Like all other LOPs it would have been manned around the clock and would have monitored all sea and air activity.

It was so good to be released from our "Stay local" rules on Monday and this was my celebration shot of a wave at our nearest beach.

Yes it is Princes Street! Not sure how I managed to get this on such an angle, but the shot was taken from upstairs inside another bus, so my arm must have slipped!
A very empty Volvo 7900 Hybrid number 21 (BT14 DKL) strolls along a very quiet Princes Street and most buses having to pause for a couple of minutes every few stops to make up time.
