I woke up at one. I read. Talked my parents into taking me to the pound to look for a cat. We got there and fell in love. Her eyes were big and blue and when you started to pet her she would move her head to into your hand. We went up to the front to adopt her and they told us she was on hold... awesome. This pound was so great, so beautiful and all the volunteers were super nice. We're going back Monday to see if Lizzy has been picked up and if so we'll go back Wednesday to look again. (I wouldn't call her Lizzy. I'm thinking about naming my new cat Bear.)
I went to the gym. Took a shower and watched the Virginia VS Alburn game. Possibly the first football game I have enjoyed watching in my life. We had to leave in the middle of it to go to a party. BLah. We got there and there were some people in the kitchen, not too many. We were greeted by the host who told us the game was on outside and then hostess saw me and got so excited. "I am so glad you came!!! There are like 20 Jr's and Sr's outside!!!" My heart fell. She took me outside and got everyones attention, "EVERYONE!!! This is Anna, she is new here. Be nice." GOD. I wanted to jump into the pool and emerge after everyone left, but instead I smiled and squeezed my hands together really tight. Things I would enjoy more than being introduced to a big group of people...
1) Having my hand stepped on by a cow.
2) Listening to counrty music.
3) Taking the SAT.
4) Taking the SAT again right after I had just taken the SAT.
I saw Bryson and Hannah. Thank God. There was a tiny sliver of room on their couch but I made it happen. I don't talk to either of them very much but it was nice to at least know someone. I didn't speak. I awkwardly moved my body so I could watch the game... to no avail. Some guy who reminded me of Luis Reyes brought out Catch Phrase and then I started to talk. Another thing I should never do with new people... play a game. I am way to competitive. Whatever, I rocked the socks off of that game. People started leaving and all of the sudden I was on the opposite side of the table with no one on my side. Sitting. Alone. I just got up. I left.
Some man came up to me and started talking to me about college, the first time I have ever wanted to talk about college.
ACC!
I finally made my parents leave. We drove around looking at fireworks.
I think New Years Eve is over rated but I really want to love it. I really do. I want to be pumped about getting a "fresh start" but I'm not. I just want to be in Austin living with Kelsey, reading good books, and being bold enough to cary my camera around. For now, I am here. But, you know what will be nice? Putting 2012 on papers. I graduate this year. WOHO!
Also, 2011 really sucked. A lot. So I'm glad it's over. Here's to you 2012, let's not suck so much the world ends. Okay?

August 3rd 2010 aka Reflections in Glass
I sort of did this shot a few weeks ago, but last time I only lit it with one light. This time I used the two umbrellas and shot straight into the lens. I like the reflection you get in the glass.
Two AB800s with Westcott 60" umbrellas. You can probably figure out their positions on your own.
Gabriel in the cloister of the Abbey on Le Mont St Michel. I dressed him to coordinate with the architecture :-)
This bus was new to LRT as 215 in 1995.
Seen here on St Andrew Square
This bus went to Padarn Bus, then to 2 Way Coaches
I only had my 85mm with me so it didn't really make the moon look to big at all.. But took some photos of some kangaroos!

Preserved Strathtay M.C.W. Metrorider 213, E 186 BNS is pictured at a bus rally at Brough. This bus was new to Strathclyde's Buses (#M89) before being transferred to G.C.T. (#GM47) and later to Kelvin Central (#1059 then MM34 & finally MM89). It was later sold to Yorkshire Traction, initially for spares but deemed too good for that and placed in service numbered 352 before being transferred to Strathtay where it remained until being bought for preservation.
