In my project, I wanted to explore opacity in relation to mark making and so to start it off, here's some of my initial experimentation with acrylic paints- looking at the way the paint moves as well as colour intensity and creating texture.
These are my initial responses to/ inspired by the work of artists Gerhard Richter, Jack Vanzet and Sam Chirnside.
Cruise ships and cable boats
It was our usual Sunday morning walk down by the shore and Udale mudflats, lots of birds to see and as usual a cruise liner and a cable boat. I know which of the two provides the most income and benefit for the local area and it’s not the cruise ship. Something will have to be done as these huge boats come in every day and the local economy barely notices.
