Took this in my new backyard! My mom has been getting really into wind chimes/feng shui, etc. haha.
KIARA wrote me the most touching testimonial yesterday! Thanks so much, Kiara. That really made my day! <3 :) Check out her stream 'cause she's amaaazing!
I also got FOUR explored pictures yesterday! And they were all pretty much in a row. I swear, there is something fishy going on with explored nowadays...I still have a dream to one day get front page explored! I have yet to achieve that goal unfortunately -__-

My take on batman 209 made it onto the Covered blog: coveredblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/jack-teagle-covers-batma...
I'll be making B+W screen prints of this design, and 4 colour risographs very soon.

i'm ending my 365 project. this shouldn't be a surprise (to those who even care) because honestly i was supposed to finish this god forsaken thing way back in february! i just suck at staying on one thing for too long and i can't motivate myself enough to take+edit photos everyday so yeah. plus im sick of titling all my things x/365 because i have wicked creative titles (sometimes) that i can't use :-(

Two months of 2013 have already come and gone. Is this year flying by or what?
But in other news, today was I Love UMass Day and although I would've loved to have taken a UMass themed photo for my 365, I was just too busy to plan anything. Luckily, I did have time to shoot 3 assignments for the Daily Collegian so it felt good to be getting involved on campus anyway :)

Tonight I knew I wanted to do something with my shot from Saturday night.
I had a play in a Glitch app on my phone and messed about with the colours and textures. I got my camera bag out and found a decorative skull I had intended to use on Saturday night but forgot.
I propped my phone on the kitchen top displaying the wall image and mounted the skull on a light stand. Plonked a tripod in front of each and worked out which lenses to use and how to frame it up.
Minolta 50mm on the macro rings for the phone screen and Nikon 20mm for the skull. I lined everything up and got cracking.
I exposed the wall for 2 seconds and replaced the lens cap before swapping tripods. Changed to the Nikon and removed the lens cap to light the skull from above. Next a chuff of vape and popped a blue torch behind the skull for separation. Finally I drew a length of blue el wire down the frame on strobe mode tie everything together.
Single long exposure.
