This week has been really productive but that also means my days are longer and yesterday’ s moment for instance was after dark. And since I had a long day….I poured a glass of red wine. And since nighttime lighting can be tricky and I don’t want to use my flash. I used the light from the refrigerator and set my camera on the milk shelf in the fridge. And this is how I look after a long day. Ordinary day 203.
We visited the historic Vikingsholm beside Lake Tahoe. We toured the castle/vacation home alongside the lake, imagined what it would have been like in the days when they stayed in those lavish rooms. We didn't know that the day would be so hot, and the water so refreshing. Next time we bring swimming suits so she can swim. I've lived an hour away from Tahoe for most of my life, yet this was the first time we ever visited this shoreline. This lake is magical.
A very rare 1956 Peugeot 203 that was spotted on the side of the road and looks very solid still.

Well, for starters, as you can see by my daily image, I did make it to La Jolla today. WIndansea to be exact. Problem was, the weather was ALL GREAY! AGAIN! I, with out kidding, only got about 4 images out of 150 that I even considered working with! That darn grey sky just takes away all color! Only a few shots, like this one, kept the lovely green of the ocean. And I think thats because it was only a second long. I took MANY, back to back 30 second exposures and NONE of them had any color other then brown and grey! Seriously? I only get to head off to the beach once a week these days, I really wish when I get home, that I do not feel like it was all a waste of gas!
Oh, I think I was complaining! :) Its all true though. Not a beautiful beach day. I would have done better taking off the wide, putting on the zoom and captured some surf action, lots of surfers today! Highest serf I have seen in a while!

Locon in Vlissingen. Volgens mij nog niet eerder gebeurd. Strukton mocht op 19 september een trein met perronwanden van Roosendaal naar Vlissingen brengen. Voor deze klus werd lok 203 163 van Locon gebruikt. Na het afkoppelen van de wagens liep de lok om via de op dit moment nog aanwezige overloop wissels. Deze staan ook op de nominatie om weg gesaneerd te worden.
