Finally got back home, so was able to do some editing of the photos I took during the 2011 Geminid Meteor shower. (same photo as before, but this version is edited)
This was the only meteor I captured, but one of the best ones of the night.

Sparrow Blue ran into the room to tell me that the family horse looks extra special. I had no clue what she was talking about. Low & behold, Linus is wearing a fashionable pink bowtie. Yup, he's cute!
And I ended up buying another Saffy scalp to see what Sparrow Blue would look like with an original one on. Ooooooooooooooo I think she looks EXTRA cute with those curls. But don't fear, I've also kept her happibug styled scalp as well. Gotta love variety!
Having failed miserably for the last 2 years, I did manage tg get some poppy field shots this year. Struggled a little with the saturation devels on the reds but think this came out ok.
An the end, I desaturated the greens a little to make the poppies stand out and because it suited the sky more.

今年跟去年雖然運氣都不錯都遇到了耶穌光，不過平平都是耶穌光，但是感覺卻不太一樣~
去年的是一整片明顯瀰漫的灑下來，而且灑的時間好長，長到後來都不想拍了~ ^^"
今年的則是一直變化，從一整片均勻的灑，然後變成了一盞Spot Light，最後還變成了一整個烏雲罩頂的濃霧，變化的又兇又快，不到半小時的時間整個六十石山就變成了兩個完全不同的世界，拍的有夠手忙腳亂~ ^^"
While cities develop (and Limassol is one of the fastest developing cities on the island) you can still find these gems scattered around the city that make you feel you're in another time.
This was the last beautiful sunset I shot in 2011. I would like to use it as a "good-bye" to 2011. This was a fabulous and fulfilled year since I made lots of friends on Flickr. Though we usually shot alone but I know there will be friends waiting there to share and cheer each other's great works. Thank you all for your generous encouragement and compliment. Wish you all a very Happy New Year of 2012 and looking forward to seeing your great stuffs on Flickr~

It's a challenge to think of interesting things to do with leaves that haven't already been done - and for a month. But I just found this one today. I'm pretty sure my friends at fiddle oak will like it.

The yr 2011 was mostly unsuccessful to my perspective, it was
unsuccessful in many folds, This yr I have lost many of my friends and
relatives, Nation wise we lost many famous people unlike other year,
We lost most of our Indian Loved singer like Vupen Hazarika, Jagjith sing, and Film maker and Hero's like Devanand ,Bangladeshi film maker Masud Pervez and Journalist Mishuk Monir.
No Doubt every yr we loss life and suffer from natural calamities But this yr 2011 has taken away most of the event form our life,
the big Tsumani also happened this yr, Finally the road accident this yr took away the health of my wife and cripple her left hand . I am totally disappointed from this yr performance, Lets wish the best for yr 2012,

Hondo, the alpha male chimpanzee at the North Carolina Zoological Park, died in August, 2011, presumably due to complications from amyloidosis. I frequently photographed Hondo when my wife and I visited the zoo. This picture was taken in June, 2011.
