It's truly amazing how quick time flies, in the blink of an eye another year has come and gone. The holidays are now here and at this time of year I always like to take a moment to wish all of my Flickr friends a happy, healthy, and wonderful Holiday Season!!!!

This shot was taken at Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia PA, which happens to be a very unique and eclectic place. The park is surrounded by apartments that can range anywhere from a few hundred thousand to upwards of 10's of millions of dollars. Restaurants and bars border the square which make it one of the more popular gathering points in the city. On any given day the park may be filled with artists, performers, street vendors dog walkers and it's always just a great place to relax and people watch.....

This particular photo was taken from the SW corner of the park looking back at the beautiful holiday decorations while also capturing a portion of the Philadelphia skyline. There were 12 shots digitally blended and stitched together....

(Stability provided by a Really Right Stuff BH40 ballhead and Gitzo GT2531 tripod)

Enjoy and have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

Saurons fortress in the land of Mordor - into this tower he poured all his cruel, his malice!

The tower is 1.75m tall and on the base 1.10 wide and the model consists of ca. 50.000+ parts (I actually didn't count them)...

This model was built as part for VirtuaLUGs Lord of the Rings collaboration for Brickworld 2011. I'm happy, that we won the award for "Best Group Display" & that in particular Barad-dûr won, together with the Cuckoo clock, the "Judges Award" (a double win was thus far a precedent).

Thanks to my good friend Orion Pax for editing the photos! Wouldn't look that cool without him :-)

Made it out of London to the gigantic Lakeside spot with Rask, Solo and Motor. This spot is crazy big, never seen such a long wall anywhere in the world, right on the banks of the Thames. Met up with Skore, Brave, Shine, Quest, Antie and many more already painting at this neverending wall. Picked the bended wall spot with industrial background, ignored the biting cold wind and had a great day in good company. Thanks to Brave for bringing the great selection of music and to Rask and Towns for the paint.

We're waiting to see when this baby is going to make his grand appearance. It could be any day now....or a few weeks.

We've been getting lots of rain up here. It should transition from rain to snow this afternoon. Technically it's still Fall, but it certainly is starting to feel like Winter!

I'm happy to say that I am done with my Christmas shopping (except for 1 more gift on my list.) How are you doing with preparations for the holiday? Our tree is up, and I've enjoyed the bit of cheer it brings to the living room.

One of many cars I saw on Wednesday around campus that had not dug out. Rather, the wind and been kind enough to carve these natural looking caverns around the car.

Cloghleagh Wicklow 2011, an autumn image of this spot, a firm favour with photographers, a wide view in colour is very popular. This one is on Fuji Acros 100 with a 60mm lens on the Hasselblad. A 6stop ND filter was used and the film was developed in Rodinal 1+50

This week I have been focusing on self portraits and lightning..

so I made my own studio! Very easy and it did not cost me anything.. I just found some black sheets, duck tape (they are like potatoes; can be used to everything), and some working lights :) I think it went well, but i need to figure out how to use the lights better.

"80. If Hagrid had disobeyed Dumbledore and given Harry to Sirius on the night Lily and James died, Sirius would have been proven innocent, the Ministry would have found and arrested Peter Pettigrew and Voldemort would have never risen again. Dumbledore would have sent the Ministry after him, he would have been discovered in Albania and thrown into Azkaban. Harry and Dumbledore would have destroyed all the Horcruxes together in their own time, and all would be well. However - Harry would have never met Ron and Hermione on the Hogwarts Express as he did not need help getting through the barrier thanks to Sirius. They would have never said as much as a ‘hello’ to eachother. So maybe things do happen for a reason, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first."

My best mocs of this year in my opinion. Now lets move on, lets see what 2012 brings...

Happy New Year!!!
