One of the rarest and most sought after iterations of the Porsche 356. Only 446 left the factory between 1962 and 1964, as BT5 and BT6 versions. This one was converted into a race car, losing allies non-essential parts in the process.

Mercedes-Benz Museum Stuttgart 2021 - In 1981 the german government initialized the 'Auto 2000' project with the intention of connecting universities and producing companies in order to let them create innovational car concepts for the future. Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Audi and VW were taking part - as well as the HAG (a team of various universities) with their so called UNI-Cars.
Mercedes-Benz target was to create a powerful car with low consumption, they offered three engine solutions: a 3.8 l V8 petrol engine with disengageable cylinders, a 3.3 l V6 Diesel engine with two turbochargers (7.5 l on 100 km at 120 km/h) and finally a gas turbine. Drag coefficient was 0.28.

F757GUS was a Mercedes 609D / Scott C24F purchased new by Alex Kean for his Argyll Coaches operation in Greenock. The company was bought out by Clydeside 2000 and a few vehicles were transferred. F757GUS was supposed to go directly to Luton and District, but was operated by Clydeside at Inchinnan Depot for a brief time, and was working on service 22 bound for Erskine. It would later see service with Harris of Fleur-de-Lys.
Too add to the umbrellas and folding chairs seen in yesterday's photos, you might want to have a cooler for your late spring/early summer outing. Evidently all this stuff sold very well at this Fred's, which was literally one of the last retail stops along this particular route to Pickwick Lake.
