Day 2: It was still early (well before Noon), and the open portions of the trail were warm - despite temps only in the upper 70's.

Photo Tip No. 2: It's Not All Serious!

Photography should be fun and sometimes we get so caught up in making the composition, exposure and lighting just right there seems no room for any fun.

It's human nature to 'have a laugh' and people will often do funny things, always when you least expect them to.

As they say a picture can tell a story!

History Of Shattuckite

Introduction

History Of Shattuckite, Shattuckite is a rare and vivid blue mineral found in copper deposits, often mixed with other copper minerals such as Azurite, Chrysocolla, Dioptase, and Malachite. Most of the crystals on the market come from either the Sonoran desert of the American Southwest or the Kalahari desert in southern Africa. The crystal was named after Lemuel C. Shattuck, a saloon keeper, cowboy, and miner in the Wild West. Shattuckite is a copper silicate hydroxide mineral with the chemical formula Cu5(SiO3)4(OH)2.

It crystallizes in the orthorhombic dipyramidal crystal system and usually occurs in a granular massive form and also as fibrous acicular crystals. It is closely allied to plancheite in structure and appearance. Shattuckite is often used in spiritual and healing celebrations due to its association with the Moon's energy and its perceived ability to promote balance, harmony, and peace.

It is also believed to be helpful for women who are experiencing hormonal imbalances or PMS, making it a significant stone in celebrations related to women's health and well-being. Shattuckite is also valued for its aesthetic appeal, and specimens are highly sought after in the world of mineral collecting due to its beautiful, rich blue and green-blue colors, along with its fibrous and botryoidal textures, making it a prized addition to mineral collections.

Must look like Photoshop lesson number 2. It might be. But it has some emotion to it...

La "cadena evolutiva" "cadena alimenticia" o algún tipo de "cadena" representada con mis dos manos...

I crocheted this in the summer of 2007. Wool. I tried to get Ila to model it for long enough to take a photo, but

1. It is too small

2. It looks like a Hitler Youth cap. Not a good thing at all.

So don't worry exchange victim this won't show up at your house.

FOR FOUR DAYS is my final from Typography 2. It was, at its core, an assignment based around the idea of a calender. Using stickers, I created a four day calender (from April 20th - April 23) that would be placed in ten site specific locations (five interior to MCAD, five exterior to MCAD). Then, every night at midnight I would put up the new days sticker, advancing the calender as well as the overall statement, which was one about existence. On each sticker were the words "you were here on" in varying type faces for each day. This was meant to show, in a subtle manner, the existence of the person looking at the sticker. I then documented the entire process using photography, my own writing, found essays and poems, and compiled it all into this 72 page book.

Completed Spring 2007, Typography 2.

This speakeasy is reservations only, although they may have changed that policy. The entrance is on the left side of Acqua Al 2. It is hard to find.

Mount Auburn Cemetery is the first rural cemetery in the United States, located on the line between Cambridge and Watertown in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Boston.

With classical monuments set in a rolling landscaped terrain,[2] it marked a distinct break with Colonial-era burying grounds and church-affiliated graveyards. The appearance of this type of landscape coincides with the rising popularity of the term "cemetery", derived from the Greek for "a sleeping place." This language and outlook eclipsed the previous harsh view of death and the afterlife embodied by old graveyards and church burial plots.

Day 2 | It looks like the team in Uganda had an amazing day. From washing feet, to participating in a genuine African wedding wardrobe and all). Looks like the students from both Uganda and America will never be the same! #missionuganda2014 #kingdomglobal #feetthatmove #kingstoneuganda

This will be opf specific interest to my Uncle Phil. Notice how each block is perfectly carved to fit with it´s neighbours. Almost totally earthquake proof (it´s withstood 2!), it uses only tiny amounts of mud mortar between each block.

This was the diagram I had in mind before taking image #2. It turned out quite like Ie had imagined it would!

It was a busy and exausting weekend for me, with the Blades open day on friday (Which my daughter hasnt stopped grinning from, with her getting to sit in one of their Extra 300's!) and then from the Abington airshow. It was a really good show, with the weather eventualy clearing up and giving us with blue skies for the C-17 departure at the end of the day :)

(Somehow i took 42gig of pics while sitting at Abingdon, so i have a feeling its going to take a while to edit/post them all lol)

This photo is for requirement 2.

It shows a part of a sculpture to the south of William H. Gates Hall, on Parrington Lawn.

Settings: I used almost the largest zoom of my lens (yes, it is a small lens, not good at zooming) to eliminate irrelevant objects from this photo. The trade-off was that many shapes on this sculpture shown in this photo were cut by the photo's edges.

Image Processing: None

I love watching soccer at this location for 2 reasons.

1. It's fun, you get three beers with your 100RMB entrance fee, it's crowded, and filled with patriotic energy.

2. It's filled with attractive men. They hide somewhere all the other hours I have been in Shanghai. But they come out to The Camel during the world cup.

This shot was taken early upstairs at Eidolon 2. It got way more packed than this

1) Because the animal is of similar color as the dirt, it was difficult to ensure he didn't get lost in the color so I put the main focus on him and his big ears really help draw that attention into his face and eyes. Angle was big here too. Being able to capture this from up above and having his head tilted as it is.

2) It was so interesting to be able to capture an image of this animal looking up at me. It gives it more of a cute and innocent look to his eyes.

3) I took this picture in manual to have full control over ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It is a Gothic Revival–style edifice designed in 1871 by Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner. It is built of Albion sandstone and trimmed with white Medina sandstone. It features a single stone bell tower and spire at the northeast corner beside the main entrance. It was the third home for Rochester's oldest congregation.[2] It is now home to the Central Church of Christ.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.[1]

Broadway Night at the Hop Ice Cream Store - N. Asheville

This picture satisfies the requirement 2. it was taken in my apartment around 2 PM. I used a 50 mm lens and lowered my shutter speed to 1/60 to keep clarity because I wanted a low ISO and there was not as much light indoors. I did some post-processing to remove pimples and marks on the face using the spot healing tool in photoshop.

This work was made on November 2. It was drawn by the color pencil and pen. This work is kind of cartoon, but there is no texts in the cartoon. These four images have one thing in common. It is that only a man with glasses who wears a cap is colored in the four images. This indicates that the man is the main character of this cartoon. There is another man with glasses in the first and second images, and he seems like passing the main character. Furthermore, there are a woman and an elder man pass the main character as well. However, the woman is colored in third and last images. To explain in detail, this cartoon, the main character represents me, and this cartoon consists of my sexual orientation. Third and last images indicate that I am used to be aware of the girl when somebody passes me. I always wondered that a dramatic meeting actually exists such as a romantic movie.

I think it was $2. It's ok to be jealous.

Nuremberg, Germany ... Day 2.

It has become a silly tradition that everywhere we go, we have to have a Big Mac (assuming there is one). It started way back when money was scarce but we loved to travel, so we couldn't eat in restaurants all the time. Then there were a couple of occasions when we were feeling "fooded out" by large meals and just wanted something cheap, cheerful and fast. And there is one other consideration ... they have toilets, and they are usually reasonably clean. That's what happened today ... and we needed a bit of a sit down after walking all morning!

1. It is not that deep due to all of the objects in the picture.

2. It helps create some of the movement and energy.

3. I would say that the dominent movement was having objects move in a diagonal angle. This was created by rotating rectangles and hexagons so that they would form these angles.

4. This relates because I said that the snail gets flicked into the woods/forest, and this was the closest thing I could find to that.

This picture satisfies Requirement 2. It was taken on my driveway, with the camera pointed upward toward the roof. The small aperture used to compensate for the long shutter speed allows for just the right amount of light in so it doesn't over-expose due from the shutter speed, while also providing a nice, long depth of field in the photo. The perfect yet non-perfect symmetry (two cars but different colors) adds just the right amount of chaos into the photo.

day 2 - It...was windy. Can you tell?

1. Last week I joined a wine-tasting club.

2. It was fun. I love to socialize. Maybe a little too much.

3. Nothing gets me going like six bottles of wine.

Round 2....

It was an intense afternoon of severe weather. Made it back home & got everything downloaded & recharged. Just in time for round 2.

Next storm approached from the northwest. Tons of CC (Cloud to Cloud) lightning burst with some forked lightning. Though the cloud layers before the storm started to block my view as it moved almost east northeast across the city views.
