This one is dedicated to Mark Putman who lusted after a first generation (1955-1957) Ford Thunderbird his neighbour had, when Mark was a youngster.
Developed to compete with Chevrolet's Corvette, also a two-seater, it was designed and marketed as a personal luxury car as opposed to a sportscar.
Never having owned either, I know the Corvette was not known for comfort, but hey, I would love to have had either of them. This looks like it would be ideal in the heatwave we are currently experiencing, but I am not sure I would want to clean those wheels.
Too bad it was not Suzanne Sommers driving this T-Bird

I think this is probably the best photoshoot I've made so far. I love the idea and how it turned out.
These were taken some time ago in Sitges and never had time to upload them here.
Hope you enjoy them! Wataru looks so manly here. <3

Life has been really hectic here and I still have a couple of busy weeks of work and other stuff to go. :P
Anyway, on sunday we decided it was time to go and check Wataru's new job. We went down to the harbor area and this is what we found......
Video to come soon!
From the wayback machine, here's a view of the Topeka shops storage from 10/26/2007. LOTS of neat power around back then, just 12 years ago.

Well, this is the photo year update. XD
As you can see, there are 'some' new members here.... *ahem*
And it's not even been a Licca year here, I've been very quiet adopting girls this year.
But I still love them all, and will try to give them more attention this year!
Large view, sorry, very blurry pic. :P
From right to left, the first one and the last of the retro dresses (some missing in the middle that went to other owners). I feel I've made a nice adaptation of the Odeco&Nikki pattern. :)
Also from left to right, the first 3 are my girls', the red mushroom is Romina's and the last duck one is Tibi's. (if you like it!)
Minus Goro, who is flying home right now. ^^
I can't believe I've officially started collecting them only a year ago (even less!). Licca Fever is a very serious matter! Be aware! XD
I have some more 4th Gen but they don't get to keep their bodies all the time, so were not included, yes I'm a bad selective mommy. ^^''
Also, please take a look at Licca Papa (recent adition) isn't he just soooo tall??!

Another gem in the mixed consist of probable castaways, was the BNSF 1553 tied down at W. Holbrook. This elderly EMD rolled out of La Grange in Sept. 1957 as the CB&Q 452, serial #23631, in the eye-catching black, grey, and red paint scheme of the Q. She would be absorbed into the creation of the BN and be renumbered to 6199, followed by a repaint into cascade green and black sometime later. It would make it onto the BNSF roster as 1713, and then 1553. Along the way she got rebuilt, had remote control features added, received the H1 paint job, and would be used in various yards, before going to the storage/deadlines in Galveston in 2020. Now in 2022, she's rolling west to a new owner as seen on the paperwork in the windows. Also of note, there was 2000+ gallons of fuel in the tank unless the gauge was broken.

Back in June, 1997, when I was 15, my dad and I took a trip up to CP's Bensenville Yard, and found SD10 #534 pulling a cut east along Green St.
The Bandit MP15's were all over the place back then, but to find a six-axle, first-generation EMD in CP's Dual Flags paint was cool as hell. It may be a poor, old scan of a print, but in retrospect, I'm thrilled to have this image to remind me of days past.
These are Kin-san (my girl) & Gin-san (Yuki's girl) twin Bunka Doll sets.
It's a present for Yuki for being so nice and allow me adopt little Kin-san! <3
They took me a while but I'm very happy with the result. ^_^ KIn-san is wearing her own set and Shira helped as a model for Gin-san's one.
I just love this pic so much. I want to print it big and frame it.

You better buckle up if you're riding this Bronco. This vehicle and many more participated in the Cars and Coffee event held at the Kansas City Auto Museum in Olathe Kansas.
On August 11, 1965, Don Frey, the Ford Motor Company Vice President and Ford Division General Manager introduced the Ford Bronco by noting the company had added another pony to the stable to join its big brother, the Mustang. The Ford Bronco became the first automobile called out specifically as a “Sports-Utility Vehicle,” and an American classic was born.
The original Ford Bronco only stuck around for 12 years, but it's presence undoubtably overshadows the succeeding generations. In a lot of ways, the indirect successor to the World War II era Ford GPW - the Blue Oval's license-built version of the Willys MB Jeep the 1965 Ford Bronco was designed to complement the then-new Ford Mustang as a fun, youth-friendly off-roader.
Ford also had Jeep square in its sights in designing and engineering the Bronco. Like the Jeep CJ-5 of the time, the Bronco was small—its wheelbase is about the same length as a modern Mini Cooper Hardtop—and designed with simple flat surfaces that were both cheap to manufacture and easy to keep protected from rocks. The Bronco was offered up in three body styles: the "Wagon," which was a two-door with a removable hardtop, a "Roadster," which came roofless and with inserts instead of doors (much like the contemporary CJ-5), and as a "Sports Utility Pickup", better known as the "half-cab," which did away with the two-person rear bench seat of the roadster and hardtop in favor of a mini pickup bed. The Roadster would last until just 1968, making it a particularly rare vehicle. The Bronco half-cab would stick around until 1973, leaving the popular wagon as the only body style for the remainder of the first-gen Bronco's life.
At launch, the Bronco was powered by Ford's venerable 105-hp 2.8-liter I-6, paired with a three-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive. A 4.7-liter V-8 producing 200 hp found its way under the Bronco's stubby little hood in 1966 before being replaced by a bigger 4.9-liter V-8 in 1968. In 1973, the base I-6 was replaced by a 3.3-liter I-6, and a three-speed automatic joined the fold.
According to FourWheeler, a total of 225,585 first-generation Broncos were built between 1965 and 1977 when production ended. Of those, 203,544 were Wagons, 17,262 Sports-Utility Pickups, and 5,000 Roadsters.

IN ENGLISH BELOW THE LINE

====================
I think this is a gorgeous 1st generation Ford Mustang, made c.1964-65. It's vintage, but as usual, the camera used is much older, 25 years older!
Photo taken with a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531, made in 1938 and sold in Budapest; Carl Zeiss Tessar f3.5 / 75mm; Cinestill 50D, developed with C41 process modified to "bleach bypass", with the Tetenal kit.
With the "bleach bypass" method, the color film is processed with the C41 chemicals but removing (bypass) the bleach, or in case of using "blix" (bleach + fixer), replacing it with the usual fixer in the black and white developer (Ilford Rapid Fixer in my case). This way the colors are muted and the film gains grain. That's what they did with "Saving Private Ryan" or "Band of Brothers."
In fact here I have imitated these films to the fullest possible, as the Cinestill 50D roll film is in fact the Kodak Vision 3 50D (Kodak 5203/7203), color movie film. It’s not exactly the one they used, but it’s the maximum I can get close to.
