Colorado Springs, CO - Early morning light from sunrise makes the snow covered foothills glow "pink" ...
I processed this image twice; liking it both with and without a crop. Perhaps I'll post the full image later but I really wanted to enlarge this area with the red rocks making them more visible.

The wonderfully unique Plains Turkey! These quirky birds are one of Australia's largest at up to 1.2m tall & a very impressive 2.3m wingspan - they also boast the title of Australia's largest flying land bird!
This is a large male in full breeding display. During breeding season (once a year), the male will clear a display area & strut around with their tails cocked high. They will periodically inflate a large throat sac, producing a loud, deep roaring noise. Amazing to witness!
Random footprints in the sands of Pancake Bay Provincial Park, highlighted by the soft light of the sunset.

This is what I am shooting a concert with today. Thanks to BorrowLenses.com for supplying me with this Canon gear to play with.
On Tuesday 8/3/2022, 1451s (empty 1D grain to Bowmans) is seen approaching Gawler River road (between Two Wells-Virginia, SA) with clp17-alf24 in charge.
This was the first empty grain to run in the early evening this grain season, if only the lesser used but more photogenic GM46 had replaced regular grain loco clp17 on the lead.
Difficult life...!!!
Thank you for the comments, my friends and FAV!!! Since I was too busy with work, I couldn't visit and check out your wonderful photo!!!
My Zorki 1D with some books related to this camera:
- "Poradnik fotografa wojskowego" / "Military Photographer's Guide" by Jan Mierzanowski - quite unique book published in Warsaw in 1954. The cover image, which looks like a heavily retouched photo, shows a soldier holding a Leica camera or Soviet copies of it.
- "Fotografujemy Zorką" / "We photograph with Zorki" by Wacław Żdżarski (pronounced: "zh-dzh-arski) which was photographer of polish underground army (Armia Krajowa) during Warsaw uprising. Back then he was using German Leica's, so he knew much about Zorkis - "poor mans Leica".
West Lake (Vietnamese: Hồ Tây) is a freshwater lake in the center of Hanoi, Vietnam. With a shore length of 17 km (about 10.6 miles), this is the largest lake of the capital and a popular place for recreation with many surrounding gardens, hotels and villas. A small part of West Lake is divided by Thanh Nien road to form Trúc Bạch Lake. One district of Hanoi is named after the lake, Tây Hồ District.
West Lake is bordered by many significant places in the history of Hanoi and Vietnam. Trấn Quốc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Vietnam,[1] was built in the 6th century by Lý Nam Đế and is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Near Tran Quoc Pagoda is Quán Thánh Temple, one of the Four Sacred Temples of ancient Hanoi (Vietnamese: Tứ trấn Thăng Long). Chu Van An High School, one of the oldest high schools in Vietnam, is also located close to the lake.
