198 takes the high road at North Auburn, across one of the many large fills that date from the Central of Georgia's 1920's project to reduce grades and curves on their mainline to Birmingham. Hopefully this won't be my last shot of 198 at this famous location; but with recent news of 187 & 198 getting rerouted to the East End that leaves the CofG with only a pair of daily road freights for now.

V198DRC was an Optare Excel L1150 B43F new as Trent number 198 in September 1999. On disposal it passed to Hunt's of Alford for further service.
