today after suffering for a few months of not having an ipod with good memory and today i got a referb'd one from the apple store in my city and got hooked up from a guy about some pictures!

This is my older sister, then aged 2 years, in our back garden at 198 Sandy Road, in June 1956. The fields at the back were part of Jenny's Farm (Miss Jenny Gilchrest) and is now Newmains School. Look at the cast iron railings. The view at the back faces east to Renfrew Airport. You can identify the control tower on the left horizon, and you can just make out the sharks tooths roofs of the First World War hangars in Newmains Road on the far right.

Simplicity sometimes works! No great thought for my 365 today as I've been a little busy, however, nothing like a good golf shot - well it could have been for all you know ;-) I picked this little tee up last night and didn't have a clue of the meaning but I did think "poor man, Douglas and he lost a tee as well". However, Poorman Douglas appears to be a software company for law firms so no doubt he isn't poor!!

Sweet child o' mine - Artist/Group: Guns n' roses

Mi día:

Como en un oscuro y sucio club del downtown de los angeles a finales de los 80, este domingo 17 de julio voy a un concierto brutal en la sala rockstar de Bilbao. Viene Slash, el mitico guitarrista de los Guns n' Roses, ahora en solitario, haciendo temas de los de antes y nuevos, con nuevo cantante, Myles Kennedy. Y como si estuviesemos en uno de esos clubs donde empezaron los guns, Slash toca la guitarra con maestria apabullante. Exprime sus guitarras para sacar hasta la ultima nota de las cuerdas a una velocidad increible. Bajo su chistera de cuero y tras sus gafas de espejo y frondosa melena me hace sentir en los 80 y con temas como sweet child o' mine, night train, patience...me hace soñar con aquellos años en los que el appettite for destruction era mi unico disco y lo escuchaba durante horas mientras hacia skate en la minirampa de amara. Un dulce retorno a finales de los 80 tan bonito como real. Los mas jovenes le conocereis por ser la portada de un juego de playstation. Para mi, un idolo.

Si habeis leido lo anterior, a este concierto he ido como fan. Y el local estaba abarrotado, no estaba lo cerca que me hubiese gustado, asi que he tenido que tirar de zoom en mi compacta y de flash para poder conseguir alguna foto minimamente decente. No ha sido facil dada la intensidad del concierto y el calor brutal que hacia en la sala. Ningun secreto en estas fotos. Lo unico, iso alto y flash para que no se note demasiado el flashazo. Esta mas o menos se salva.
