8885 with a friendly wave as it heads into Wabamun. Just about missed this one. My passenger jokingly said ding ding ding as we got to the crossing - well he didn't have to continue as the lights and bells starts just as we started crossing the tracks.

An interesting doorway, covered entirely in reflective sheet metal. The colors seem painted on, but it's all just reflection.

Vancouver, British Columbia.

This building is part of a 7 building campus that was built by German craftsman brought over for this project. I would be surprised if the school building is still standing next year.

We headed out in the 90 degree weather today to enjoy a free concert at the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park. We went to see Sybris, a local Chicago band, play at noon. We had seen them a few times before, but we don't get to shows as often anymore since we have a toddler now. So we found some shady seats in the pavillion, enjoyed the show, grabbed some lunch at the Park Grill afterward, and then headed over to Crown Fountain so that Kenzie could play in the water. She had a lot of fun running through the water. I stayed on the sidelines while Daddy and K walked through the water for about 15-20 minutes. She was soaked by the time we left, but we were just planning to do some quick shopping at Old Navy before heading back on the L train to go home. She had so much excitement (and heat!) for one day that she fell asleep before we even got to the train, waking only briefly when we got home and changed her out of her wet clothes, then slept for another couple of hours. She woke up in time for us to decide to go pick up some food for dinner. We ended the day staying in the a/c and watching "Up in the Air" which I really enjoyed.
