Halloween Oct 31st-1st The Streets

I have loved these Russian daisies ever since I first saw them in Christopher Lloyd's garden, Great Dixter. 30 years and 3 gardens later I have at last managed to achieve a similar look as they have spread themselves within the brick pavers. They are not looking quite as good as they were in high summer but they are struggling on well this autumn.

My daughter's friends house...

was interesting seeing some of these water ladybirds feeding on Gallerucella sp leaf beetle eggs! There was thousands there, so a bit of 'control' isn't a bad thing!

Mademoiselle Darlen...

Another shot from Saturday with Darlen, she and I actually went down to Lucy In Disguise, a local costume shop, to pick up this dress. I wanted something to go with the decor of the bar. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a setup shot of this because I got caught up with the shots, and change of clothing.

See Black

(for the nineteen days project, 2010)

Living in New York, and having developed an appreciation for artificial horizons, i've always wanted to photograph this particular one is this particular light. i love the red bright flaming up, and the neutral white turning warm, and am happy to say that this shot turned out exactly as i'd planned it... the airplane accentuating the direction is a bonus.

Shine the light with some reflections!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... thanks to you all.

Terrible pic, but they were all getting blurry because of the heat of the bathroom, and that was the best I could do. But well, at least you can see my second brain better now. Ignore my face, though.

It's super foggy round here at the moment and usually I'd be straight out the door but after last night's epic mooch, then this mornings early rise to play footie with the little dude, I had nothing left in the tank to get out. I grabbed a few shots this afternoon but relied too heavily on the fog and ended up with nowt.

I was about to make do then I decided on a touch of kitchen based lp.

Digital stencil, frame blanking tool, back door, lens and tripod swap and some www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibers.
