Schirwindt war durch die schmalspurige Pillkaller Kleinbahn über Grumbkowsfelde (russisch: Prawdino) mit der Kreisstadt Pillkallen (1938-1946 Schlossberg, russisch: Dobrowolsk) verbunden. In Schirwindt gab es einen beachtlichen Umschlag mit Holz und Getreide aus Russland bzw. Litauen.

A CF-188 "Hornet" from 425 Squadron, 3 Wing Bagotville, Quebec is escorting a CC-150 "Polaris" returning from London UK with veterans from Bomber Command. These veterans were taking part to the dedication of a Memorial in Green park on the 28 June 2012.

Got up early and took almost a ton of garden waste up the tip, lugged my defunct washing machine out of the house and - with the help of a mate - isolated the water supply. Didn't make it to the 2nd Port Vale local friendly, but chilled before the England game on telly - and then scrabbled around for a photo.
