Receiving an overhaul at Butterley on the 18th January 2019 is Mark I Open Second with Miniature Buffet (RMB) 1802.
Vehicle History
1802 is one of a initial batch of twelve RMB vehicles built in 1957 at York Works to lot 30485. This vehicle is basically an Open Second and was built with two full window spaces removed to accommodate a buffet counter. The following batches of RMB’s also had four seats and an additional window removed (to the left of the middle door) to accommodate a stock cupboard and 1802 has been modified to this configuration sometime after being built. Whilst in preservation the buffet counter has been extended, however apart from these modifications it still appears to be in as built condition with B1 bogies, vacuum brakes and steam heating. It was withdrawn around 1980 and arrived at Butterley in January 1981.

Out exploring areas in and around Yellow Springs this morning when I ran across Clifton Mill. It's one of the largest water-powered mills still in operation. A gift shop was just opening for the morning while others sat inside having breakfast. Pretty cool place.
