“All the knowledge I possess everyone else can acquire, but my heart is exclusively my own.”
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I had a moment in my day today where I realised how strongly I'm held to the security of my family. No matter all our differences and the lack of understanding between us sometimes I know I would be completely lost if the ribbon that held us together frayed and broke.
Tomorrow is a busy day.. I'm back at work :s

2014.06.24 - A bowl full of cherries, cherries I bought by the side of the road, when returning home from a wedding. These were super delicious and sweet, as they usually are coming from this part of the country.
Boiler under restoration at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Mi. North Western 175 was built in 1908 by the American Locomotive Company in Schenectady, New York. It is a relatively-late example of a 4-6-0 Ten-wheeler; the standard dual-purpose locomotive of the early 1900’s and used on light trains until the 1940’s.
The Chicago and North Western and related railroads had 395 4-6-0’s built to this general design by 2 builders between 1901 and 1910, but the 175 is one of the 40 most modern; being equipped with the Walschaerts valve gear instead of the more primitive design. With 63-inch driving wheels, these locomotives were known to exceed speeds of 60 miles per hour.

The lion (Panthera leo) is a predator in the feline family (Felidae). Of all the felines, only the tiger is larger. The size and mane of the male give the animal an imposing appearance, making the lion known in large parts of the world as the king of beasts.

Someone asked her "What have you done to your hair?!" and she replied "It's for hope."
One of the most incredible people I've come across.

I used to absolutely hate olives; especially green ones. But for some reason my tastes have changed and now I love olives! Even more if they are stuffed with a jalapeno. Mmmmm!
I love that we are fortunate enough to be doing a big renovation on our house and I know it will all be worth it in the end, but sometimes I just feel so chained to the project. It's literally swallowing us up and plans we make have to change all the time because of plans not going to plan! I long for the day that we can open up the front door and have a home not a hovel!! Or to be able to spend a Sunday just relaxing reading papers!
Hey ho - it will all be done soon I'm sure. Just having me a little whinge as I'm tired and have had to cancel a day I was planning and looking forward to tomorrow :(
Happy weekend everyone.

A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.
There's something mischievously deceiving about Ferrero Rocher chocolates! You bite into one of these babies and realise they're a lot smaller on the inside than anticipated which in turn means you could subconsciously go through a whole pack thinking you've only had a few......speaking from experience of course!
Not Manhattanhenge, but close enough. Left the bar at 8pm, which was apparently exactly the golden hour. It was amazing in Midtown.

Oh hey look, this is actually in focus. I'm literally dying without my remote.
I took this on a whim, this was actually my seventh (ugh) attempt at a 365 today.
