Im Remter der Burg Lochstädt wächst aus dem schlanken Granitpfeiler das Palmengewölbe wie eine wunderbare Krone. Die Wände des Speisesaals tragen Gemälde, die erst 1895 unter einer Tünche freigelegt wurden. Sie stammen aus der zweiten Hälfte des 14. Jahrhunderts.
Das Refektorium (dt. Remter, von lat.: refectio‚ Wiederherstellung, Erholung, Labung) ist der Speisesaal eines christlichen Klosters, bzw. einer Burg des Deutschen Ordens.

September 20, 2014, the 175th aniversary of the railways in The Netherlands was celebrated. Trips with historic trains between Haarlem and Amsterdam (the first route), open doors at the Haarlem shops and the display of "1839" engine De Arend (Eagle) were the main
ingredients of the festivities.

And was I glad to be heading there! Pretty full-on day, not achieving very much and constantly deliberating on who we should appoint for the role we interviewed for yesterday. Finally made a decision - in the midst of some other stuff that was going on - right at the end of the day. Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of our contact at the recruitment agency to let them know, so the poor candidates will have another night of anticipation....
Headed home a little late after all that. Tim cooked us a tasty curry for dinner, and then I spent most of the evening packing to go down to Glastonbury tomorrow evening.
The aluminium panels are being trial fitted between the sidelights. Within days the first will have been masticked and screwed in position.
Best Western Inn on the Park on the capitol square receives a face lift, opening rooms to the public starting up July 1st, 2016. The bar and restaurant on top remain closed for addition tweaks until further notice.

Staple motive power along the North Wales Coast these days is the class 175, this is 175011 forming the 1426 Holyhead-Chester on 17 October 2009. This train normally runs to Cardiff, however a blockade at Wrexham General for re-signalling work meant the line between Chester and Shrewsbury was closed. Apparently Senhor Arriva can't manage to work out that the train could have run via Crewe to Shrewsbury, saving the poor passengers a bus ride and changing twice...

The first car was a small cyclecar designed by Jules Salomon and Edmond Moyet. Followed by a 903cc side valve in two versions the sporty CS and family C4. But their most noted models were the CGS (Grand Sport) of 1924 with a 1074cc engine and the CGSS (Grand Sport Surbaisse) these were also built under licence: in Germany as the Pluto, Austria as the Grofri, and Italy as the Amilcar Italiana.
The company merged with Hotchkiss in 1937. A notable car of this era was the Amilcar Compound a front wheel drive monocoque. Amilcar production ceased at the on set of WW2 never to resume
