After last night's Sierra Ferrell gig, I walked for 25 minutes across the outskirts of Oxford to get back to my AirBnB - picked up my bags and left - no taxis to the bus station, so I started walking with bags weighing around 25kg...(photo gear mainly) . Got on a bus and the driver took pity and didn't charge me for the trip to the nearest stop to the bus station. Waited an hour and then caught the 1.10am National Express coach back home - arrived in Hanley at 4.30am - no taxis again, so I had to walk the 1.6 miles home, mauling two heavy bags. Got in around 5.30 and slept until midday, after chucking everything in the washer. Spent a good proportion of the rest of the day getting ready for my trip to Berlin tomorrow...
Well, there ya go.

Towson University is in Baltimore and it is my dream school in every way. It's near Hanna and it offers photography classes and Young Life leadership training and the city is amazing.
I have never been this happy in my life.
And you know what else happened today?
I got that job I mentioned last week.
I don't know why God is blessing me with so much all at once, but I am so incredibly grateful. Everything is turning around, and it seems like my life is falling together. Thank goodness <3

Alpaca Shearing - The alpacas are sheared every spring and I was fortunate to come across this one at Kuhn's River Country Alpacas in Beach Lake, PA.. The shearers come to the farm and each animals "blanket", which is the primary fiber taken from the main trunk, is bagged separately and labeled with the name of the alpaca and date. The "seconds" are mixed together. The fiber will be processed by Worthington Acres Alpacas Farm and Fiber Mill. The alpacas sheared today provide approximately 5 lbs. of fiber each. It was very interesting to witness how careful the shearers were and how calmly the alpacas submitted to the whole process.
The seats have been loosely positioned in the northern saloon.Their bulk makes installing the remaining mouldings, and other fittings, a little interesting!

Having been taking a little more care of what I've been eating and going to the gym more regularly for the past two weeks I thought I'd still better have a word with the quack as my blood pressure is very high still.
Turns out that with a fresh pair of eyes going through every blood test I've had for the past 7 years has spotted a certain deficiency in some key levels, which explain why I've been so tired and unable to concentrate fully for such a long time.
Bit of good advice from the doc on how to correct these levels and some medication and I'm hopeful that I'll be firing on all cylinders again soon enough.
Looking forward to be full of beans again.
