Too hot to go on a wander today, so I went to the Turkish supermarket just up the road and bought some frikadellen and biscuits and then retired to my room to chill and wait for my washing to dry. View from out of my room in the AirBnB.
Tomorrow I'm being picked up by a couple of German friends and we're going to a festival in Venlo in the Netherlands.

The last day of my Obon holiday!
I havn't been able to upload for the last three days of the photos and here they are!
Day 1: I worked for Hokkaido Outdoor Adventurers as a rafting guide. It was a great day! The water was high and the customers were really great people! I stayed there for the night.
Day 2: I was gonna guide again for the AM trip but some customer cancelled so I worked as a photographer for the rafting trip instead.
It was great fun!
After the trip, my wife and our friend Chika and I left HOA for Shirogane Onsen camp ground, but the weather was horrible. To set up the tent in the rain wasn't fun. Chika's husband Toby joined us that night. Early bed since we were all tired and raining pretty heavily...
Day 3: Hiking!!!! It was a beaaaaaaaatiful day!!!!
The last day: We woke up, breakfast, packed our stuff and left for Sapporo. Got home about 2 hours ago.... tired...

continuing from yesterday’s post! The seeds very easily dried overnight in this hot weather so I brought them back in to salt and roast 🎃

This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 175 in 2010.

Part of the A703 was closed, due to roadworks.
The 15/X15 were diverted va Frogston Road, Burdiehouse, Straiton and back onto the A703 to return to the route at Bush science center.

...oder 175 Jahre Ausflugsschifffahrt auf der Donau. Oder 175t Jahre Völkerwanderung. So unglaublich viele Menschen, Stative und Schiffe!
Ich hab die Walhalla nie gemocht, ihre Intention, ihr theutschtümelndes Pathos, ihr klassizistischer Kitsch.
Ich hab auch die Leute nie gemocht, die da - gleich zu welcher Uhrzeit - immer rumhängen, von fetten Amitouristen über alkoholisierte Landeier und Studenten, bis zu Pokemon-Go-Zombies, die wirklich jeden gehypten Scheiß mitmachen. Ich bin immer lieber immer noch ein paar Kilometer weiter geradelt, nach Wiesent und hab mich dann in den Schatten des Nepaltempels an den kühlen Teich gesetzt, hab den Mantras zugehört und öfter ein bisschen geweint, weil mich der Ort so ergriffen hat. Die Walhalla ist das genaue, erschreckende Gegenteil, Stein statt Holz, weltliches statt spirituelles, Lärm statt Ruhe, ein das Ego produzierender Ort, statt einer, an dem man es zu überwinden sucht.
Gestern hab ich mich dann doch dorthin und unter die Menschen begeben und es waren so unglaublich viele! Aber es hat sich gelohnt, weder Regen noch Nebel oder Tau konnten einem das fotografische Vergnügen vereiteln, was eigentlich einem Wunder gleichkommt. Zumindest mit Nebel oder taufeuchter Ausrüstung wäre zu rechnen gewesen. Aber nein....
Well, the first test drive of my new wool spinning tool seems to have been a reasonable success!
I managed to get another lift to go and play tonight which was great! I'd walked through this tunnel with the dog earlier in the day and it reminded me that it needed a night time visit!
Got a few more ideas for this tunnel - its in great condition with very little graffiti and its only 10 minutes form home!
