Found in the pines around the campsite, which incidentally is totally full (no one goes to morocco anymore). They are however very twitchy and full of stealth, just like their north european cousins.

i love taking the grimm out to swim. it's great for conditioning and uses up some of the surplus energy she always seems to have.

i also love a good wet dog shake and wanted a picture of it. however, she simply must shake all over me and won't let me get back far enough for the shot i want. guess i'll keep working on it and in the meantime, i enjoyed the blue color contrasting with the red from her line and the kaleidoscope effect of all the spray here. it was fun, even if this is the best i've got so far.

Hah sorry for dumping these all at once, I forgot to upload to here.

The Minolta 16 II (1960) features shutter speeds from 1/30 to 1/500 plus B and a 4 element Rokkor lens with aperture ranges from f2.8 to f16.

The focus is fixed at 2,8 meter (9 ft.) witch means that the sharpness is controlled with the dept of field and the apperture settings.

The film advance and shutter cocking is done by a telescopic movement with the camera body. The camera sports flash synchronization through a PC flash connector which makes it useable with many modern electronic flash units.

It makes 10x14mm frames on 16mm film in dedicated Minolta film cassettes. If you cut the film length to approx 45 cm you will get 20 exposures plus a few more on each film strip.

Any longer film strips than about 50 cm may cause space problems as the take up side of the cassette is a tight fit. The frame counter maxes out at 20 pictures anyway (it counts down from 20 to E) but you can still take more pictures.

Today your options film-wise is limited to cut your own film from 120 or 135 size down to 16mm - or buy 16mm (movie) film.

Eastman Double X 7222 is a good option if you like BW film. The Film Photography Project - FPP - in New Jersey sell this film in practical 7,6 meter (25 ft.) length on daylight reels in their web shop. This equals about 15 film rolls of 20 + exposures each. I have tried this and can recomend it.

You will also find the 16mm Eastman Double-X 7222 film in canned 30 meter movie reels (100 ft.) or 122 meter canned movie reels (400 ft.) on eBay or other marked places.

Don't expect your 16mm pictures to be technically perfect. In fact, expect the oposite. Grain, dust specks, strikes and scratches is a part of the deal when shooting this type of cameras.

Amtrak's northbound "Crescent" is coming through the interlocking at Burke, Virginia behind Phase 1 heritage unit 156. Change will come soon to this location; the new, PTC-compliant signals are in place, and awaiting the cutover which will remove the former Southern Railway 'boxcar' signal bridge behind the new installation.

Having redressed some balance with my previous Wroclaw upload it's back to the impossibily picturesque and colourful buildings of the city's Rynek.

From Wikipedia : "The 13th century Main Market Square (Rynek) features the Old Town Hall. In the north-west corner of the market square there is the St. Elisabeth's Church (Bazylika Św. Elżbiety) with its 91.46 m tower, which has an observation deck (75 m). North of the church are the Shambles with Monument of Remembrance of Animals for Slaughter (pl). The Salt Square (now a flower market) is located at the south-western corner of the market square. Close to the square, between Szewska and Łaciarska streets, there is the St. Mary Magdalene Church (Kościół Św. Marii Magdaleny) established in the 13th century."

If you know me even a little, you know that one of my favorite places on the planet is Lombard, Montana. That includes Sixteen Mile Creek Canyon. Here we are looking west up the canyon and down on Milwaukee Road's Tunnel No. 9. Up the canyon, two bridges over Sixteen Mile Creek, and a bit of the bridge over the NP/BN/MRL and the Missouri River can be seen. Way in the distance, Montana Rail Link's eastbound 840 Helena Local approaches Lombard. I would give my left Kidney to have photographed the Milwaukee through here.

Big body, itty bitty head.

Hope everyone is doing well.

An old one.

Yes, it's real and alive.

Yes, I took the photo.

No, it's not shopped.

A combination of an average dynamic range camera plus lighting conditions (the goose was in direct sunlight, the background in shade), plus a beautiful lens.

The fleet is undergoing a major transformation this year, seeing a whole host of improvements, most notably the Evolutions binned, which I've never been a fan of personally.

Monument to victims of political repression in St. Petersburg, where citizens carried flowers on the day of Alexei Navalny's death. Every half hour, the janitor, on the orders of the security forces, swept the flowers into a bag and took them to the garbage truck. Despite all the repression, there are still brave people in Russia for whom the truth is more important.
