As I was preparing to leave work Friday afternoon I saw 145 rolling by out the window. Thankfully he pulled into the siding at Iles to meet 398. I didn't have time to make it to West End Siding to catch the meet, so I chose to jump on I-72 to shoot past 145 and catch him at Curran. He quickly made it to me and the old C&NW overpass.
Had an evening of disasters tonight - which very nearly saw a 366 Fail! Imagine the scene.... me cooking dinner (I am a domestic god!!), the other half in the shower - while doing some nonsense with hair dye (and at a critical moment apparently!) and the shower stops working.
Not only does it stop working but the pump for it lets go and starts spewing very hot water everywhere causing a significant flood! As a further failure the whole water supply to the entire house shuts itself off - without touching a stopcock.....
So we have a half cooked dinner - apart from the pasta as I have no water to cook it in, a lot of water on the floor, a mad springer puppy who thinks its just the best fun ever to go splashing and skidding in the puddles, a partner with hair that is now starting to go ginger and more important than anything I am running out of time to get a 366 shot in the bag!!!
After two half arsed attempts at the two things I had wanted to try tonight that both failed I had to reach for a Lego mini figure I'm afraid! I didnt even like this until I started playing with it!
Now however, after the conversion to mono, a boost to the blacks, the addition of a lot of grain and a little vignette I rather like it and out of near 366 disaster something was salvaged.
