20090525 (Monday)
first shooting day, and we have started quite early in the morning. i am still lack of sleep since...
first time work with China people and the impression i have is: slow.
not sure i am too used with rushing or they are really that slow. they seems very easy and not much feeling on timing.
and to deal with one of the models we had today. a very unprofessional male model that i have never seen (btw, not casted nor chose by me). he has drove me up to the wall. seriously, he is like a dead man and know nothing about posture and expression.
i tried being nice but he is cocky!
" i need you to give us more pose, they are not much different from the start until now and fact they are similar", i said. he told me in sour " you guys taking so much of shots, of course they are similar" WTF! (this is only first outfit and all your poses are not really presenting the merchandise that dressing on you)- screamed in my head. if we are shooting in Malaysia, i guess i will send him back to the model agency straight away- with a big ban in the list.
his performance from the entire day is poor and unacceptable. i do not understand how come anyone can import this guy into China for modeling. thick! he is a thick!!! seriously thick! beside, he was so dare to give us yawns during the shoot. what kind of model is that? no height, no body (flat chest, no abs, flat butt) , no look, weird body proportion (big hands and legs), no expression, no idea what is he doing, no initiative, etc. worst i have seen from fashion shoot.
*scratching head* we have same model for tomorrow. sigh.

Today as I was passing by the Tokyo Disnyland hotel (on the way to the much less glamourous Hilton) I saw this little girl in an Alice costume. I wanted to try to do something that looked like I hoped it felt to her. This is actualy two different HDR tratments (one for the building and one for the garden) blended togeather with the original middle expoure for Alice and the sky. It's not the sort of thing I would usually do and I think that is perhaphs why I like it.
