Preserved Class 08, 0-6-0 'Gronk' Shunter 13265 (08195) at Llangollen Station in North Wales (UK). 08195 was built in 1960 and withdrawn in 1989.

996 off 08's were built between 1953 and 1962.

The 08 (09/10/11) shunter 0-6-0 design was based on the LMS Class D3/7 shunter of 1939 and

LMS 12033 shunter series for the war department in early 1945 so it's safe to assume the basic body design you see here dates from the late 1930s..

Vatva Shakti WDG3A #13265 (brand new at the time) exits Phulera Junction in the Ajmer direction with a big freight. Tuesday 31st October 2006. The 3100 hp ALCo really struggled to get the train started, the driver making several attempts - but if fully loaded it could well have been over 4000 tonnes, so hardly surprising!
