this photo incidentally looks like photos i took around this time 13 yrs ago, in the autumn of 2011. which incidentally look like they sound like the band pavement ((because i listened to them all the time back then))
I was starting to get discouraged by this point in the walk, I could hear the birds calling but none were really visible, they were busy singing from the tops of the tree.
Happily as we rounded a corner I spotted this little lady perched and happy to pose.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this yet. And it was raining again today!! I can't wait for the sun to come out. I have so many ideas for pictures, but they all need the sun!
I went garage sale shopping today and I found a pair of ice skates for only $5. I can't wait for winter :)
This project is taking much longer than my usual projects. It's not complicated or big but I keep getting distracted by other crochet projects that have a 'best before' date, like crochet hearts and a hat for a friend who lost his.
Eventually it'll get done, at least it's always easy to pick up where I left off.

Anemone
So, in the spirit of trying new things this year, I had a go at focus stacking today. It's not nearly good enough and I wish that I had pulled out that odd little petal(!) but I've made a foray into something new which hopefully I can develop this year.
Corn field in winter. Cold, snow and wind. This spring the field will be planted to beans, but that is 3 months away. Outside of Devereaux, Mich.
I liked the shot of stooks minus the sky which I cropped out because I wanted the two colors of the stook's field. Mennonites use this to dry out their oats. Just brought up the clarity.
