Consciência Negra - ciclo de atividades - 20 e 21/11/2017

This is Harriet, an amazing little lass that my brother and I met at the Snow Goose cafe, a local fave of ours, when she and her family were sat at the table next to ours. Though Harriet didn't say a single word the entire time we were there, she was quite interested in my camera, especially when I showed her the images on its display. With her mum's permission, I snapped off quite a few shots of her and was pretty pleased with the majority of them - easy when you're shooting someone this freakin' adorable! It was only on the last two shots though that she broke into a big grin when I pointed the camera at her, and if you've ever made a young kid smile, you know that those moments are like tonic for the soul. I think I made a friend :D

In between shots, her mum and I talked a lot about photography, since she'd been reading up a bit and was getting ready to buy something decent. It seemed like she still had some questions though, since she was actually considering one of the prosumer point & clicks over a DSLR. I think I convinced her to go the DSLR route, for the reasons that we all use them for: superior image quality and the ability to incrementally expand their capabilities as your skills grow accordingly. Harriet will thank her when she's older and has awesome pics to look back on :)
