I love the sound of rain. It called me outside. It’s not so ordinary the rain but I am wearing my ordinary robe. I hear sirens I hear rain, I hear traffic, horns, even busses. All at once I hear these things. This is my ordinary the sounds that are in the city I live. We picked a house that backs up to traffic. We made the choice because we had a five year plan…now we are in our 17th year of that five year plan. Loving where you’re at. Be safe today.
This man is the oldest member of the Gambian extended family compound I visited. He claimed to be 112 years old and even showed his ID to prove it. I still have my doubts, though ;)

On the misty November morning in 1979 when I took this photograph I little realised I was capturing a bit of history. It was not uncommon for the morning Whitemoor to Wisbech goods to arrive with a Class 25, Photographs of 25112 are rare however and I think this one may have not been air braked so it would have been ideal to convey these vanfits which were carrying seed potatoes from the Fenland town. Cricklewood allocated 25112 was withdrawn in October 1980 and is seen here with 112 in the headcode panel. Time has not been kind to this print, but I've included it anyway ! 25112 was cut up at Swindon in March 1982.

Im Oktober 2018 war auf der Frankenbahn noch alles in Ordnung, als 112 170 mit ihrer reinen Osto-Garnitur zwischen Lauffen und Nordheim unterwegs war.

Letzten Freitag, also am 07. September, besuchte ich erstmals das Neckartal. Genauer gesagt ging es an den Abschnitt Lauffen - Nordheim. Normalerweise sind Strecken, die hauptsächlich von Regionalzügen befahren werden ja ehr unspektakülar, hier ist das jedoch anders. So trifft man hier noch sehr viele Loks und Wagen älterer Jahrgänge an. Dazu zählt auch 112 170, die mit einer Garnitur Ost-Dostos hier gerade auf dem Weg als RB 19131 nach Stuttgart Hbf befindet.
