This is from my Pentax Auto 110, circa 1981, when my girls were 10 and 5 years old. The similarity in their dress was unplanned -- they just each chose these clothes that day, independent of one another. I got them to sit still for one moment while I snapped this shot, which totally captures their personalities. It's very grainy and soft, but I have always loved it none-the-less. I shot it with existing light -- no flash.

I got some new cameras in the last few months. I've always wanted to try more analog photography, but I didn't have the cash to buy my own stuff. Thankfully, I've found old, discarded cameras in my family, that I've adopted and begun photographing with.
This is the Agfamatic 2000, an old camera we found in a drawer at my grandma's. It takes 110 format film, something that is barely even produced anymore. I got lucky and found two rolls of film, but if I want more, I'll have to look into expired film. It's weird to think that, in just a few years, there will be no more film for cameras like this. They'll be useless. All that'll be left are developed films and printed photos, themselves slowly aging into oblivion. Analog photography gives you a sense of time that digital photography just doesn't.
