Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company, Class 110, E51830 on the centre siding, under the Nunnery tunnels at the north end of Sheffield station after derailing.
The photo is timed as 14:10hrs and dated as the 30th of April 1988
I can't for the life of me remember what happened, I have a vague recollection that this was a three car unit and the other two cars were removed but this one couldn't be removed because of the damage to the unit and track but as for the full details i just can't remember but i'm trying to find out.
As you can see the track underneath is severely buckled and the rear axle of the unit has been packed to hold it upright.

And now for some photos not to be repeated - I hopped out at Loddon, a small town half way between Norwich and Beccles, to take some photographs of Anglian's presence in the village before it all but disappears, with the 146 being withdrawn here, the 001 no longer extending to/from here, but a mysterious service 86 coming here in what would appear to be a desperate attempt to try and keep some of the custom from the 146. It'll run a very hotch-potch service through Loddon three times either way, Monday to Friday only, heading towards Norwich or Beccles.
Here's AU13FBJ (110) on High Bungay Road, approaching the last stop in Loddon, working the 1650 146 from Norwich to Lowestoft. Note the raise of the hat from the driver, nice touch sir!

I was planning to use this camera in week 384 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project, but although all the electronics work, the film wind on mechanism appears to be jammed, so I will be using a different camera instead.
