Tonight my datura bush blooms
with thirty-three trumpets.
The moon glides past a tree
Spreading its silver glow on open flowers.
Suddenly sacred trumpets fluoresce
and seem brighter than the moon itself… Unknown Author
"The bristly fruit and stale-smelling leaves of the Sacred Datura speak to another, more sinister side of the plant, to a dark and fearsome netherworld of poison and potential emotional collapse, physical sickness and even death. It suggests visions of the brooding and frightening forests of the Brothers Grimm."

As a beautiful ending of my favorite month, I decided to choose dandelion as the final April post on Flickr. Actually this was my first trial of shooing this lovely plant. I did enjoy getting on the ground to do the macro shooting. Hope you enjoy them as well.

Picked this cool sticker up in Moab, Utah. There is a real rock art glyph, actually called Moab Man. Photo below. Odd that they printed a mirror image.
I got a mini-slinky in my christmas cracker this year - fantastic present! Even better, I was able to borrow a Canon EF100mm f2.8 macro lens to take pictures of it.

My first try at fast action photography. Since I don't have a flash with off camera shooting, I had to switch my camera to BULB mode, use mirror lock up, and press the flash button as the ice hit the water. Took me more than 350 tries. I had to drop the ice cube with my mouth. This one was the best one in my opinion.

Recently I am crazy about shooting butterflies especially this kind of small sized species. Metallic Cerulean is one of the common butterflies in Taiwan. I met it during hiking with my dog.

First attempt at water drops. Had lots of fun trying to time and capture the drops. Awesome "rainy day" project..

This set of photos is a try to capture the mood and feeling of some things we’ve got at home. I didn’t want to photograph the whole, but rather some details that would give out the mood of the object. For this I used the 5D with the 100mm macro lens. All shot handheld with available light.
