After the very successful exhibition at the North Wall Art Centre in Oxford, the OPS have been invited by the Notfamousyet Art Consultancy to exhibit a range of our images in the Link Gallery in the John Radcliffe Hospital from January to March. The Link gallery is in the Link Corridor accessed by the entrance to Car Park 1. (Turn right at the bottom of the escalator!) The exhibition is ‘open’ permanently from January until March inclusive, so if you are in the area please pop in; the exhibition is free too!

This shot should have been lost - literally. It was taken in shadow because the bird wouldn't come in closer (although my first "burst" shot caught it almost in the light). Ideally, I would have shot at ISO400 at 1/100sec, but I was going with the settings as I tracked it.
Still the process was able to salvage it. This is more an experiment than a good shot.
1) Turned off the auto settings on Adobe Camera Raw (because they sucked).
2) Upped the contrast and exposure slightly in ACR.
3) In Photshop, cropped to about 1/4 the frame size.
4) Used the Unsharp mask to increase the detail a little.
5) Image | Exposure -> Exposure: +0.05, Gamma: 0.93
6) Image | Shadow/Highlight -> Shadow: 4%, Highlight: 2%, Mid-tone Contrast: +9
7) Noiseware Professional - Full (Stronger Luma Noise)
8) Cut down the size (yeah, I cheated).
Like I said, not a great shot, but a HECK of a lot better than the original (see below).

after completing the malacca fun quest - you are team number 1!! turned up we got 11th! hahaha.

yep...so i left at the end of the 8th inning, mets down 4-1. Turns out they caught up in the 9th 4-3 but then...yep you guessed it... they lost, cliff floyd popped up...game over, heard it on the radio on the way back. i am the ultimate jynx. too bad i missed the yankee game. they won 12-4 v. angels...A-rod hit a 3R HR, 2R HR, Grand Slam, and a single totalling 10 RBIs...at least i didn't jynx them...
