Today's Our Daily Challenge theme, "Sticky," because any run-in with a T-Rex is a sticky situation!
My original sticky subject was velcro, but I had too much fun sticking my new Pez dispenser in classic portrait light not to use it instead.
I guess Rex was supposed to be my stocking stuffer from Corey's family, but I got him today. French Pez is so much cooler than American! Tastier flavors, cute mascots, and no artificial colors.
Another decision following my "Give in to the crop" mantra.

San Francisco with Caroline, 3 Aug 2013
Caroline and I had a day of it in San Francisco on Saturday, 3 August. With Caroline leaving for college in Hawaii on 23 August, this might be our last trip before we head to Honolulu.
Although we took Amtrak to and from the Bay Area and took BART into SF from Richmond, this was not really a train watching trip and we spent the day in SF walking and riding buses. I didn't even see any historic streetcars on the F line on Market Street, although we did get brief glances at cable cars.
We took Capitol train 729 from Sacramento station, as we wanted the option of coming home later than we could have on 742, if we'd left from Roseville. 729 had P42 57 and 5 cars, with a reasonable load. Breakfast on the train was a breakfast burrito for me and sweet roll for Caroline.
We were thinking about taking the ferry from Oakland, but the ferry and train schedules don't always line up well and we would have had a long wait, so, instead, we got off in Richmond and took BART to Powell Street. In retrospect, we might have wanted to take the connecting bus as it would have given us a last ride across the east side of the Bay Bridge before that is replaced with the new span...assuming the new span opens over Labor Day weekend, as planned. Our BART ride required a change at at MacArthur station in Oakland, then we rode to Powell St., Caroline wanted to do some shopping.
We got into the mall and decided, instead, it was lunch time and walked to the Palace Hotel where we ate at the Garden Court, one of the most imposing interior spaces anywhere. Good food, too, corn bisque soup for Caroline, pork for me.
After lunch, we walked to Telegraph Hill and checked out the Vallejo Street steps and Coit Tower. A movie crew was about to start driving through SF, accompanied by police on motorcycles, so we got some photos of them. One house on Vallejo Street was a modest little place, about 1200 square feet, that Zillow says might go for $1.13 million!
I made a point of getting some photos of the WPA era murals inside Coit Tower.
From Telegraph Hill we walked to North Beach and browsed at City Lights Bookstore, across the street from the Condor, Big Al's, Roaring 20s and other strip clubs that provided me with a unique sex education when we visited San Francisco when I was a kid and crawled in traffic up Broadway.
From City Lights, our next stop was Caroline's favorite, Japan Town. There was a street fair in progress when we got there, and Hello Kitty was greeting her fans. We had ice cream crepes and ate dinner at Fuku Sushi. We'd laughed at the place's name on earlier trips, but it has been around for years, and was very good. Caroline reminded me that it is pronounced Fookoo.
Another bus ride took us to the ferry building, when we caught the dusk ferry to Oakland JLS. The last Capitol had left for the night, so we caught the last train home, #14, the Coast Starlight, which was running about 50 minutes late.
