The Krall Barn is believed to be the oldest existing log barn in Lebanon County. The effort to save it first kicked off in 2007, when the structure, then located east of Schaefferstown, was saved from destruction by a cooperating owner, Howard Scharff, who worked with Schaefferstown’s Bill Ross by offering to donate the barn if it was dismantled. The way it stands now, most of the exterior of the Krall Barn is nearly complete. But there are many smaller, inside projects yet to be tackled. The education center is expected to make it easier for visitors to enjoy their time at the 110 acre historic site that features three locks of the Union Canal, an engineering feat visited by none less than President George Washington himself during its construction.

Soon to be surpassed by the Abu Dhabi branch of the museum, also designed by Frank Gehry ( check it out on Google - it's amazing ) but for me this building will always remain one of the most impressive and important architectural achievements of the 20th century. I just love it. It is the reason why I came to Bilbao and I still can't get enough of it ! 😊

Crimean bridge - suspension bridge in Moscow, passes across the Moscow River. The bridge was built during Stalin's reconstruction of the city and is open May 1, 1938 the length of the span of the river - 168 meters. The bridge has a span 3; its total length - 688 m, width 38.5 m.
From April to December 2001, work on the general reconstruction of the Crimean Bridge. During this time, builders repave the sidewalks and the roadway of the bridge. Prefabricated slabs of pavement have been replaced by a monolith. In addition, the waterproofing of the bridge, carried out anti-corrosion treatment of metal structures has been updated. It replaced as 5500 square meters of granite cladding.

The original mill De Zwaluw was built in 1875 as a corn and pearl barley mill. Additionally , it was used as a saw mill.
The mill was listed as a Rijksmonument in 1971. In November 1972, the mill was struck by lightning and burnt down, leaving the base and saw mill standing. Restoration started in 1984 and completed in 1987.

A very Happy Easter everyone!!!
"Mother Hen is teaching her little ones how to hide the chocolade eggs, so that the 'humans' can look for them."
This searching for eggs during Easter is a worldwide tradition in many cultures.
The origami hen is called "Abundance Hen" and is a design by Leyla Torres. The origami chicken is a model from Simon Anderson. They match wonderful together, although the folding proces is different.
Both can be used as boxes too, as you can see here. The hen has special feathers. Each feather is a written fortune message, the "Ten-Second Party Fortune". Also an idea by Leyla.
The chickens carry an egg and I added the party fortune idea as a little tail.
"Abundance Hen" is folded from 21x21 cm, duo-colored paper.
The chickens from a square from 5, 7,5, 8, 8,5 cm with German tekst on it, saying 'Frohe Ostern' ;-))

Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesdays is hearts. This is perfect since we have Mr. Teddy Bear and Princess with us to celebrate love and most importantly Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays !
As we all know by now, Princess and Teddy Bear are very much in love. But like in many relationships, Mr. Teddy Bear is the most romantic one… He loves surprising his Princess with lovely surprises. This week, he decorated his orange apartment with hearts… Hearts are everywhere and the whole decor screams : love !
But Princess was very confused: Valentine’s Day isn’t in March ! Why all those hearts then ? Why decorating for Valentine’s Day one year ahead ? It is way to early !
But for Mr. Teddy Bear everyday is Valentine’s Day when he is with Princess…. and the 2 just kissed under a beautiful red heart.
But I have a meeting this morning and i need my coffee so I will not be able to continue that story … and it is a family friendly Photostream so we will not be able to see what happens after the kiss ;-).

Мы постепенно двигались в сторону основной точки съемки, до рассвета оставался примерно час. Туман продолжал сгущаться и на сильном морозе мы целиком покрылись инеем. Ярко светила полная луна, на рассвете она стала оранжевой. Все это создавало отличные условия для съемки. Времени было полно и мы особо не торопились, фотографировали всякое. Это один из таких снимков, ничего особенного, просто туманный рассвет.
We gradually moved towards the main shooting point, about an hour remained until dawn. The fog continued to thicken and in the bitter cold we were completely covered with frost. The full moon shone brightly, turning orange at dawn. All this created excellent conditions for shooting. There was plenty of time and we were not particularly in a hurry, taking pictures of everything. This is one of those shots, nothing special, just a hazy sunrise.

I hadn't been to Strasbourg before, but I must go back. Today I had a quick 30 minutes run around between trains. Too hot really, but I wanted to see it.
This photo must have got deleted from Flickr somehow. It was on months ago, and has made a reappearance this morning (16 Dec 2015)
First I stopped in this beautiful park on the way to Lewis river falls. The current was very fast, and there was no reflection at all. I came here again early in the morning. The flow of the river was still strong, but when the sun lit the hill and the trees behind the bridge, the view was simply magical.
