I do not know how it ended. But chances are, that the cat did get what the cat wanted.
Addendum (2021) I miss these moments, I know, this situation is going to be over, but nevertheless...

Located in Brazil, Mato Grosso do Sul state, there is an enchanting river called Rio da Prata (something like silver river in english), which is surrounded by amazing farms and nature reserves in its entire extension.
Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.
Tawhai Falls is a curtain waterfall in the Tongariro National Park on New Zealand's North Island, a small distance north of Whakapapa Village and Mount Ruapehu.
This was taken on a crisp but clearing morning in Autumn, March 2016.
'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars.

As you can see on the picture in the first comment Cortez is very skinny, but the good news is he doesnot need insuline anymore since september 2016. And he still is doing well. Allthough he sleeps more, his appetite is good and he still can jump on the kitchen counter to see if their is some food left.

Top of Cissbury Ring in West Sussex - not a bad place to enjoy 360º views of the surrounding fields, feeling the warmth of the setting sun 😊
South Mountain Reservation – The Rahway River which runs through the reservation doesn’t have much water flow since there hasn’t been much rainfall. That’s ok, what you end up with is a peaceful inviting stream. The weather has also been unseasonably warm. That’s ok too. It just keeps the autumn foliage around a bit longer. What’s also ok is that together those things just make us photographers just a bit happier. Enjoying Autumn! :)))
I love these horses and visit them to say hello regularly. They are always so friendly and inquisitive. They love love !!
Also because I love this music and think it goes well with my feeling about these two beautiful animals and the times when we've said "Hello - I love you".
Carlos Paredes on the Portuguese guitar, playing Verdes Anos
'Verdes Anos' is Portuguese for 'green years'. Please right click on the link and open a new tab to listen. Thanks !
This started out as a simple picture taken on my iPhone. I processed it using Topaz Impression 2 and PicMonkey.
I do hope you like both my picture and the music I've chosen. Thank you so much for all your wonderful friendship and support. I really, really appreciate it !
The Hurlers Stone Circles, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, taken at sunset with the last light of the day....(no moon light) Zeiss ExoLens (Wide-Angle), small tripod, Hisy remote. Mystically built in 'Photos' on iMac and Snapseed on iPad Air.
The tree was traditionally decorated with edibles such as apples, nuts, or other foods. In the 18th century, it began to be illuminated by candles which were ultimately replaced by Christmas lights after the advent of electrification. Today, there is a wide variety of traditional ornaments, such as garlands, baubles, tinsel, and candy canes. An angel or star might be placed at the top of the tree to represent the archangel Gabriel or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity.Edible items such as Gingerbread, Chocolate and other sweets are also popular, and are tied to or hung from the tree's branches with ribbons.
Our tree as you can see is covered with everything & anything, a real eclectic mix
I can take no credit for the final outcome other than getting the tree down from the loft & dressing the tree in lights in a very artist manner
